dont think they have a system link mode in this one..
Can anyone confirm that i only need dvd2 to play?

I think you need to play Disc2
disc1 is Sega saturn ver. Doa1 with online

DOA1U = Original Graphic + Live system.
DOA2U = Upgrade Graphic Remake + Live System.

Yes indeed. The Square DVD1 is 59 x 50mb and the DVD1 from DNL release is only 8 x 20mb, so what is the difference then?

one DVD = original DOA1 + improved DOA2
the other DVD = Xbox DOA2 aka 'DOA ULTIMATE'
that's the difference...

Both discs are exactly the same. Rename doa1.txt to doa2.txt on the first disk to play DOA2.

so we only need to grab 1 disk (either one), and unpack it, then rename as you say, then rebuild image and burn to play DOA2?
