Any, as long as it's not a rip. It must be a proper INSTALLER so that the patch system can read the registry entries.

He asked which version of Crysis would let him patch. I responded "The not free one" where "one" was referring to the version of Crysis. Thus he can patch the version of Crysis that he buys from the store.
Or just use google.

Just to try and be helpful any version of Crysis should work fine with the patch as the affected files aren't patched, they are overwritten - However if you have modified any of the existing files the patcher might not work properly.
(Particularly don't alter the .PAK archives and don't delete the logo movies.)
