Never really followed this expansion's development. Is this like the Dark Crusade with the planetary map, or just two more linear campaigns?

I know it say an entire stellar-system, but just want to make sure.

EDIT:
Quote:
The new chapter will feature an entire intergalactic
campaign, spanning not just a planet, but an entire star
system...
Now they should make up their minds already. It's either intergalactic OR just a star system. It's a mistery to me why people think that galaxies are just stellar systems sometimes.

Yes, this is just like DC but now you have 4 planets and 3 moons to conquer. Also, they have added the Dark Eldar and Sisters of Battle. Air units have been added as well.

If I recall correctly all expansions up till now were stand-alone (with the possoble exception of Winter Assault).

I believe they are all standalones BUT, if you want to play the other races you will need all of them. For instance, installing DoW will get you all the original races. Installing only Winter Assault will get you only the Imperial Guard. But if you install Winter Assault and already have DoW installed then you get all other races including the Imperial Guard. Now you can play all other races against the Imperials. That's the way it worked for DC and I believe is the way Soulstorm works as well. Correct me if I am wrong.

Winter Assault wasn't stand alone. And you can play with all races in Skirmish, they are only locked in MP.

I played SS a bit with the sisters of battles... Damn.. they are ugly and low- poly Sad I just can't imagine how incredibly gorgeous are the ones from the mod witchhunters, compared to this commercial pile of crap.. Another thing that sucks hard again, is the total lack of squadmates randomization/ different helms/faces/marks/etc., oh well.. the modders will do it again. And i really don't like the air units, they feel like hovering, not flying.. Oh well, i still love dawn of war 40k but.. Sad

for me (might be a noob ) just like in DC it took 10-15mins untill i was overrun with 100 units

it above my understanding how you are suppose too wipe out them in less than 15mins because after that tanks etc is came and basicly swarmed my base

i quess i suck at warhammer as i had the exact same problem with DC
