I am happy to take the flack for this. I didn't ban you, I have no idea what you did nor do I care. This is the Internet - you have too much time on your hands. Obv. you did SOMETHING, but in future just PM a mod and ask - don't make a bitch show like you've done here.

If I call you moron it's one thing, if a mod calls you moron it's another thing.
If a mod , who uses foul language himself, bans somebody for using similar foul language, it is ridiculous . This is entire point of being mod in first place : to uphold local rules made/endorsed by site owners. If rules say no flaming or name calling, than mods should be first to obey.
But then again, that how the things are on normal sites. If the only reward the mods get here for doing their daily routine of cleaning this toilet is being exempt from rules, than I pity them.
I do hope that this is not the case, and they do get some extra goodies, thou being compliant to rules. |

But who's to govern this? Admins don't seem to really care, so who's left? |

Well other mods can keep an eye on each other.
All the conflicts/frictions between mods are supposed to be solved not on public
Besides, may be admins truly are active in closed for public sections (or some irc channel). You can't know that, unless you got an informer among mods to report the activities in closed sections . |

May I suggest for banning mods to write their nick on banning note, when banning someone
This way, I'd know, which bastards call me names in those notes, and which mods are polite.

OK then on each name calling ban I'll assume who was the author, and will spam admins with complaints
An observation: each time I report someone in a thread I participate, I usually get banned with that person. Each time I report someone in a thread, I didn't participate, the person stays unbanned but his offending posts get deleted.
The solution it seems is to find a third person for reporting , my chances of staying unbanned will increase this way.

I heard that all before about a year ago.
By the way, what you saw as addition of racial slurs in your recent ban of me was just a sarcasm emphasizing the stupidity of Goon's allegations. I think , this was obvious. |
