Is it possible to add a second Harddrive to my PC? This is the PC I have:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00009568&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en

There seems to be a slot inside the case for an additional hardrive but Im not sure if that's what its for. Any suggestions?

Depends if you have a spare IDE slot on your motherboard. If you have then just take out the floppy and put in a drive. I doubt you'll have much use for a floppy these days.

if there is a spare slot then bang it in there. failing that remove the floppy, I doubt anyone uses these anymore, failing that you can get an adaptor set to convert your 5.25" drive bay to fit a HD.

you should have a spare connector on your ribbon cable to goto the new HD, failing that look on the motherboard for the same type of slot as the one going to your HD and DVD, thay used to put 2 before SATA drives took over, now it's generally 1. there should also be a spare power connector (molex cable) if not you can buy a 'Y' splitter

once installed the bios should read the HD and you will see it from within windows and it's a simple case of formatting the new drive

That or you could go so low as to get a PCI card with IDE connectors on it

Well I already have my Floppy disconnected since I used it twice in 6 years. I will try a cheap internal hard drive for now.
