yeah the poolgame is fun!
i finally started robbing houses at night but it doesn't pay off that much either. i whole night of robbing barely got me 800$. i robbed the poor hoods tho, maybe i should try the more rich neighborhoods.
the only way i know for sure gives you a lot of cash is the firetruck missions, those easily pay up 20.000$ for 15minutes of playing or so.
but i can't find the damn firetruck anymore. :/

you gonna kick yourself lol ... the horn is on the left analogue stick (the one you steer with) by pressing it down .. so if you release your thumb pressure the honking will stop

whoKnows wrote: | How big is the game? Can you really drive through the countryside like in mafia, i find that hard to believe.
I think about buying a PS2 for this too, but how about the drawing distance and the texture quality compared to the series on pc? And the most important thing, can the dvd drive of the ps2 read dvd+r or only -r?
Questions over questions maybe someone can help me |
uhm yeah you can drive trough the countryside if thats your thing no clue compared to mafia, i never really finished that game. (i know i know, shoot me )
the drawing distance is more than acceptable if u keep the ps2's hardware in mind. it's far enough but not "complete" like it would be on pc.
texture quality is also, well, decent. it's the same as vice city but a lot more polygons, it all looks a lot more polished. just keep vice city in mind & you won't be dissapointed. if you keep doom3 in mind you WILL be dissapointed graphicswise. but i'm sure you'll get hooked to the game to disregard the graphics. compared to pc it's A LOT more aliased (lots of jagged edges, it'll probably hurt your eyes at first, especially if you use a PAL ps2 with the NTSC version)
And ps2 can read both, BUT there's lots of problems with dvd+r, i suggest you use dvd-r disks.
anyway, whoever suggested to blow up cars for to get the firetruck, at first it worked but the cops were all over me already for blowing up the cars.. then after a few retries the truck didnt even show up anymore.
BUT i found where it is. in the big city area in los santos you have this big intersection (a spiderweb like road/freeway), it's on a road right above that intersection.
i played with it up to level 11 (15min) & made about 30.000$

Anybody know if, and when, there'll be a RIP of this game ?
Evolution is a mystery,
full of changes that noone sees,
clock makes a fool of history ...

As i wrote i have.
I have used +rw verbatim and it's actually the best disc i have ever used.
It's too bad though that verbatim's +rw disc's are so expensive.
But try them if you want a really really good disc.
-r ritek works extremely well also but the verbatim +rw is still better (you can hear it on the sound when the ps2 reads the disc).

Or you can just get a PS2 Adapter and a MAXTOR Hard Drive and just put your images on that. No load times, or load times cut significantly down. Game has not lagged or locked up or anything on me. Just pure straight gaming. That and you save money on having to buy DVD's and can actually backup DVD9's.

::shrugs::
Havent bought a DVD pack in months. Havent had to delete any games off my HD or those I did I did so cause the game stunk or I dont play it anymore.
Ill simply say for those who like to keep their games then sure the DVD route is the way to go.
Those who arent habitual game collectors - HD is your best option.
