Keeps surprising me in terms of how it handles the track. I didn't know it could do half a corkscrew/tilt - one imagines that with the right music a full corkscrew is possible as well. Really nice game.
Wow really you like that game? I loved GH and usually love games where I can but my music, but I didn't try this one cause it doesn't look like GH at all. I just watched 2-3 movies and youtube and it seem complete crap. The tetris blocs don't even follow the music so why bother having music? And then you only have 4 buttons to move the ship? And you grab always the same bloc color for more points? Seem repetitive and boring as hell.... if at least it could follow the music correctly, but it's impossible with only 4 "frets".

My opinion was the same believe it or not - but if you play and give the full version a chance you'll see how wrong that impression actually is. Like I said in an earlier post, even after playing the demo my impressions weren't completely layed to waste - it was only when I'd played the full version that its nuances and the enjoyment of playing it emerged.
For a start; this isn't a guitar hero/rock band type game in my opinion, it's more like Rez, but it obviously has similarities to both.
Secondly, the tetris blocks as you call them do follow the music (and their colour reflects the current tempo afaik - hot/high and cold/low). The whole track, the number of blocks, the difficulty and everything else is also exclusively determined by the song you pick - so it is important. Thirdly there are different ways of playing, the characters you select all have different skill sets and ways of playing it, the easiest is mono (avoid greys, hit colours) but the others involve various colours in a 'columns' style race (and with the different skillsets - different ways of approaching it).
You have a fundamental misunderstanding of the game (which I also shared initially) so try the demo, read its strategy guide (once you've tried one of the tracks), and then see if it doesn't at the very least pique your interest.
well said ispep, i cant understand why people are comparing this to gh3... its rez meets tetris with your own music collection... good fun...
if your looking for a gh3 clone then look elsewhere

sometimes the blocks are not on the beat because they are representing another sound. such as the hi-hat
I use `1234 to move my ship, anyone else do this as well? I like it when I play mono because during the intense part of the songs (like aerodynamic by daft punk) I can dodge quicker and more precisely.
I noticed to fully appreciate the game you have to listen to different kinds of music. Metal was fun for a while, but then I just got some dance/trance stuff from my sisters comp and the whole game behaved entirely different. Way more bumps in the road, it's amazing.
Hopefully they have overhauled the music analysis algorithms. The original game worked great on synthetic music (like techno or hip hop) but sometimes failed miserably on music recorded with instruments.
