Day of the Dead (2008) - 4 / 10 and all 4 points are for the decapitations. Besides that this movie shits all over the zombie genre.

you got the 5.1 version? if so its the same i got... and yeah problem is its an amateur rip from an amateur ripper... just be thankful the thing was encoded in colour with the correct AR....

Turok: Son of Stone - 7.5/10
brad new Turok animation movie; quite good, but without the blood it could easily have been a kids movie.

day of the dead (new one) 5/10
the good: fuck... its a ZOMBIE movie ffs! zombies, guns, eating, blood etc.. ZOMBIESSS!!!
the bad: characters... some of the worst ive ever seen... soldiers who cant shoot straight, act like complete idiots, people doing the most idiotic things... zombies must have the power to make people stupid or something?  it also really does shit all over the zombie genre... ok yeah i can accept and in some ways really dont MIND the fast zombies, but come on... zombies climbing on ceilings, super strength, high intelligence... whatever... in the original dotd, the zombie intelligence made a bit of sense... but here it happens right away.. i understand the references to the original, but they just are pretty damn painful in terms of execution in the film...
bad story, characters, dialogue, acting, but the fact ITS FRICKEN ZOMBIES, MAN!! made the film atleast watchable. atmosphere, cinematography and cgi/zombie effects/gore was all of an acceptable quality, so no complaints there.

oh...no... ive seen both films, and believe me... in the hills have eyes 2, those soldiers are highly trained experts in comparison... seriously, in dotd the soldiers are an absolutely joke, a new low in representations of soldiers!!

ok how about this.
the main chick solder in this carries a pistol. with NO AMMO. and im not saying she ran out, she carries a gun with NO AMMO right from the beginning!
these guys have LIMITED ammo later in the movie... like seriously, they only have what they can carry... so FOUR of them pretty much open up with fully auto fire for ONE ZOMBIE! yeah these guys are fucking idiots! i know its a movie but seriously, come on!

Outright shitty movie that deserves the saw. So boring through and through I almost fell asleep watching it even a few hours after getting up. Just fucking horrible.

Commando - 9/10 (Yes, I know, but I love those! I miss the 80s' movies of all comic action with no brain needed. You just don't have such in the present... When, Shoot 'Em Up? Please...)

The Prestige 9/10 - Great! Fantastic cast.
The illusionist 7/10 - A bit too predictable and contrived for my taste, but excellent performances by Ed Norton and Rufus Sewell save it from being average.
