i tried the russian version some time ago... Well it suffered from the russian rpg syndrome (like dawn of magic i.e.) lots of blur, overuse of bloom and way too bright.. with mediocre graphic. The story itself may be good but i deleted it after some encounters with the local fauna..

It's the same game with no differences aside from the SolidShiel/Tages copy protection removal.
(Added sectors that fill out the disc, similar to the dummy files in Star-Force protected applications.)
When installed the Procyon release only takes up 1.87GB of disc space.

@JBeckman: isn't the picture just stretched if you change it to 1440x900 in the ini? The game seems to keep the 4:3 AR, it looks stretched to me.

I did not think about that but it's possible that the game still uses a stretched 4:3 aspect ratio as the maximum resolution seems to be 1280x1024 (Unless 1600x1200 also works.) which I managed to bypass by switching to windowed mode and manually altering the resolution (Now running at 1680x1050).
It wouldn't surprise me if the image was a bit stretched as the game might not have proper widescreen support.
(Haven't really checked but I might attempt to compare some images to see how it works.)

@cacaro
the difference between 2 versions is 1 is like a cloneDVD and cracked game. clone groups are releasing entire dvd/cd as an image. cracking group can remove protections from the source dvd so they can make an image from files and directories instead of full dvd structure.
its like clone images. they are not cracked, they are just ripped from cd/dvd and even if the correct size of data from dvd is i.e. 2gb clone of dvd says its 4,5gb
sorry for my bad english

What about the game? Is it a good RPG? I obviously don't expect much, but anyway.

Go back to pg 1 and read BlueSkyz review. Same way I felt about it. Really crappy game.

Game bugs are really ruining the game.
BTW, anybody had problems (?) saving the game after arriving with ship on coast?

I saw it on a friend's PC, looks pretty fun. The horse riding and slashing part especially, hehe ! Didn't notice ANY bugs, except some collision issues with bushes and stuff.
When I get more time, I will definitely install this. I hope there's some patches until then. Some polish can't hurt, right ?

Yep, crack is used.
Bugs - cant see some cloths, in certain moments objects are stretched, etc. and looks like saving problem, cuz I cant save the game, having "unable save now" notice all the time even after escaping Order's camp

Thanks for the notification about a mini-image (Or probably maxi-image as it's tages.) but I was prepared for that and took the Procyon release directly and just downloaded the NoCD by Vitality (Or was it Reloaded?) afterwards.
Will try and start over again just to see if it works when running with the original files.
(Tages does this to a few titles that are not fully or perhaps it would be better to say properly cracked, see the thread below about Chronicles of Spellborne for another example.)

I don't think it's that bad. Some translation problems here and there, but no bugs so far.
Quests can be done in different manners, depending what kind of outfit you wear and how good is your diplomacy..later on you can join different factions I think.
fighting and voice acting is executed well enough, only thing that is suffering is the gfx, which is "outdated" and not up to par to the current "next-gen".
But it can get kinda boring story wise,so far it hasn't hooked me. But we'll see how it progresses.
