I watched 11 minutes gamaplay video from final version, which somehow reminded me the old-good ascendancy but in realtime and after staring at YARRRRRRRRR speed of 7 KB average for 1.5 hour I ordered the game.

Now leeching at 300KB... still sucks, but speed is a little bit better than STEAM Very Happy

Actually speed is not THAT bad on YARRRRRRRRR Bay right now. In about 30 minutes is progressed more than 5% (its already at 25% for everybody). So I'd say about 6 to 8 hours its going to be done.

Bandwidth is nothing in this kind of release. Its under 1 gig ). Maybe there will be official "scene" release by the time its done on the bay. But maybe not. I have my confidence in the guy who released in on the bay. His release record speaks for itself.

I just bought the collectors edition and also got a download link and I am playing the game right now. So that option apparently works.

And by the way, just doing the tutorials so far but I am pretty blown way by what isee so far. Pretty freaking good. Looks better than Supreme Commander so far IMHO. I REALLY like how ships aquire experience and upgrade. Gives kinda an RPG'ish feel to it. Really nice so far.

bay didn't delete it as they wouldn't delete a damn thing no matter who was asking them Razz

Stardock (Mr. Wardell himself) contacted me personally and asked me kindly to remove it before seeds finish or be held legally responsible, so I did.

Groups will get a hold of it soon enough anyway. I tried. Razz

I'm doing the tutorials right now and I'm blown away at the suck.
What a buggy game thus far. Really glad I paid a premium price for it.

First time I click basic gameplay tutorial it throws me in to some weird sand box game with no instructions, nothing can be hurt and nothing works.
I start it again and this time it works, but now an enemy ship has shown up and appears to be stuck in the phase lane and it can't take damage, and the tutorial isn't progressing, just a "hey if you constructor blows up, we'll build you a new one, but we'll talk more about that later"

* If you have a USB Missile Launcher, please detach it before playing the game or it will
crash the game.

Tutorials are broken, check main forums. IC says they are working on it. Set your rez to 1024x768, might fix it, might not.

The reason for this is because most software such the forceware drivers caused problems with sins during the beta. This was on nvidia end however and Ironclad contacted them about this.

They're "working on it"? Hot tip.. they released the game, they're charging money for it. Shit like tutorials shouldn't be getting "worked on" right now.

I have not played it yet but I don't think hes the only one having a problem, either way who needs a tutorial just play the game and learn as you go, as long as the main game works and multi-player as well I would be happy.

Either way I am through purchasing games before I play them, so as I said I have not played yet and wont give them a dollar until I do and decide for myself.

Anyone that has been playing can give us a mini review? I'm thinking of getting it, and would feel better knowing how people that have played the retail version feel about it.

It was stated they're working on it, so they're obviously aware of it, thus I'm not the only person having this issue. Any other brilliant insights?

So far the rest of the game isn't working too bad.. except that phase lanes don't work at all like they said in the tutorial. I got the impression that you could travel only along the phase lane, no you can travel well wide of it , which means you have to set up several defenses and keep a fleet at a planet to defend it as there is no ability to really target your defense. Good and bad I suppose.

I also had a really confused ship that didn't seem to know where it belonged. It was part of a fleet and kept trying to jump to other planets leaving its fleet behind. Even when I told it to go sit with the fleet. I would give it an order then go do something, come back, and wonder where it was. Low and behold its trying to jump far away from the fleet. I ended up scuttling it.

I've only played it for about 90 minutes but so far:
It needs some polish. But overall its not too bad. Even on a small game expect to be in it for the long haul.
