Cams are shaky and unwatchable even with normal movies.

well, i'm back from teh theatre. one word - awesome! yes, this may be an instant emotion-driven score that may later turn into a 8/10 but neways it's more than worth those 50 bucks (2xadults, beer & popcorn).

I'm just out of the theater, It's a concept, you either love it or hate it, many people walked out during the movie, I must say the cammera work is really annoying, I guess it would be ok on TV but on the big screen it made me feel nauseous.
Some film makers used very successfully this type of cammera work, like the actions sequence in saving private ryan or others, I agree it adds intensity to the actions but please not for 90minutes straight.
Maybe i can picture my self lost in the woods (blairwitch) or killing germans or w/e, I can't picture myself running from a giant monster, so the cammera doesn't really make me feel like im there, I was just thinking what a waste of money, great CGI and explosions but you don't get to see much of it because the guy holding the cammera is shaking like a crackwhore ALL the time.
Now don't get me wrong it's how the film is intended to be, but you end up with a movie with almost no plot, and retared sub-plot, so i guess i was disapointed.

| Spoiler: | The monster probably survived because my friends told me that if you stay during the credits there is a voice saying "it's still alive!", plus they're already planing a sequel . As for Rob and Beth, they probably died from the explosion, but it's an open ending so we can't be sure. |

You don't really need to know if the monster died or not. The film was about the journey of the characters, their journey ends when the film does.
Like liansk said, theres nothing difficult to understand about it.

Yeah, but why put a monster in a drama? Oh, right, I forgot, it's JJ Abrams.
A sequel? 4 seasons? With each episode bringing more questions than answers.

At the very end of the credits the music fades out then you hear "Help us" which I heard played in reverse is "It's still alive"
