The King of Kong - 8/10 - Very entertaining documentary even though I find these old games like Donkey Kong to be total crap. Even watched all the extra's which I normally don't bother with.

Elizabeth : The Golden Age - 5/10 - Great acting and setting, but what a boring movie.

Right at your door - 3/10 - The poster tricked me into watching it, this was probably the most boring movie about a terrorist attack I have ever seen.

in the name of the king - 5/10

it wasnt even NEARLY as horrible as his previous films... i dont think there are many bigger boll haters than me, but i give credit where its due... which probably isnt really to boll, but it is to the film. statham and perlman give a really watchable performance, the cgi is (like ive always said about his previous films) above and beyond what boll really deserves, and thanks to actors that allready know HOW to fight (statham and perlman again), the action sequences are really really good... that forest fight was excellent, the choreography, the speed... really nicely done.

the dialogue is bad, the acting from some of the actors was really hammy and crap... all things u expect from a boll film, but statham really keeps the film going...

overall, my 5/10 rating is for the film, NOT boll... hes assembled some great people to work on the film, so ill have to wait and see how bolls NEXT film goes before i can say he is getting better as a director, because at the moment im thinking this film does well purely on the strength of the good actors and effects people working on the film

i have the r5 with cam audio release, and i honestly believe ill get the dvdrip of this when its out because this film i honestly did not hate... it wasnt great, but it had some good stuff in it, which i really didnt expect from seeing the trailer.

oh and id have given it a 4, but this film had ninjas... ninjas rule Very Happy

im looking forward to postal because it sounds like 90 minutes of taking the piss out of everything i hate Very Happy

i think it'll be far cry that finally makes me decide if boll is getting better or not. thats the next film coming up that i know the atmosphere and what the game was like, AND care about it, but it doesnt have a great cast... it'll be up to far cry to tell me if boll sucks like always or if hes getting better.

for the record my fav boll film is still house of the dead. its so fucking badly done and stupid, and its a laugh to watch... name of the king really isnt bad... ive seen big budget hollywood films that sucked way more than this.

Perfect Creature [7/10]

Movie made in new zealand about jamestown in the late 1800's (though obviously an alternative history). A vampire society called the brothers living next to a human society. They have lived in "harmony" for 300 years (according to the film) when one of the "brothers" suddenly break the oath and starts killing people.

Movie sets were really nice for a budget film, and all the decor and clothing (environment in general) look very authentic (for maybe one or two obvious painted backgrounds). Acting is spot on, movie quality is high - and production is great.

Storywise the pacing of the movie is a bit slow, and it has some problems with the viewer not being able to fully identify with any of the characters. But the talented actors and credible scenes make up for that, and there's nothing wrong with the action scenes.

This movie would probably have cost 10x if not 100x more money if it was made in the U.S. - so don't underestimate it for it's budget. I want to see more from this director.

I also think fisk should be unbanned.
