i can see it now... avp3... where the preds storm a government building to get that plasma caster-slash-pistol (which had to be the stupidest fucking thing EVER) back, and discover....uh.. somehow.. (lets face it, consistancy and alien/pred lore play NO part in this franchise) that the humans are growing aliens in that very same government building, so the aliens are... again...somehow (magic? DAMN YOU HARRY POTTER!!) released, and then the preds and humans and aliens all fight each other inside this government building... noone leaves the building and the fight never goes outside... why? well to keep the budget at rock bottom thats why... thats pretty much avp3.. just you watch 
...and i, for one, just cant fucking wait... i cant wait to see just how shitty this goes.. please paul anderson... come back... no seriously, his film had problems i think we all agree, but it was MILES better than this shit. atleast it had good production values, cinematography, effects and action sequences... it was just the script that blew because he wrote it... sigh...

btw, this movie sucked donkey balls. Everything was sooo expectable.

I hate when they put one black and azn dudes (or chicks) in reality shows, completely incompetent, just to be politically correct. I mean, sure there are many of them that are fine (and a great black dude won the apprentice), but often it's so clear they just put them there to be politically correct, and get rid of them in the first stages.

nice action? holy crap man, the action was weak and the deaths were actually...yeah... boring... who woulda thought sci fi alien horror film death sequences could be boring (cept for that bitch getting iced, i still get a chuckle out of that ), but there you are, these guys managed it!! and the sound was great? what do you mean the sound was great? do you mean the sound effects they ripped off from previous movies? |

And I couldn't get over the fact Aliens burst out of implanted bodies withing moments after implantation...  Original had so much suspense over the uncertainty of what's about to happen... Here they must've thought "oh well everyone knows what happens so lets cut it to just seconds and be done with that, so we could return to the idiot pizza teens story (or the soldier mother), because that's much more interesting" If I was directing, I'd have used the fact that everyone knows what is about to happen to create tension. When you know what is about to happen, it gets tense. For example, have an infected person(s) be returned to the town and interact with people (the little boy, for even more emotion effect), and then suddenly have him(them) erupt in blood.

im gonna have a nerd moment and just flat out say it'd be impossible for any human to be able to 'hatch' 3 aliens... youve seen in alien and aliens that just having one pretty much drains all of the nutrients right outa the body.... avp2 just completely slapped all the rules and alien lore set up in the films right in the face and ignored em completely...
and yeah straight away at the beginning of the movie, i noticed that the aliens hatched insanely fast and without any suspense at all... and i thought the first avp butt-fucked the chestburster lifecycle! this one was even worse! in avp3 i suppose the egg goes in and a full grown alien immediately pops out before the dudes ass even hits the ground from having the face hugger slamming into his face...
...probably by the time we hit avp4, we'll be seeing the face hugger just shitting a full grown alien down the guys throat..
thats why as far as im concerned, NEITHER of the avp films are part of either the alien OR the pred franchises... as far as im concerned, its a parallel universe franchise that takes place during neither alien or pred timelines... the names and designs are the same but thats all....
oh man i just cant get over how fucking stupid the pred alien was... mouth-impregnating tube? i was just floored when i saw that...
basically as i said previously, im ready for avp3 because ive allready accepted that its just a brand name and has no real connection to any of the PROPER movies... its just a sci fi b-movie horror with a well known franchise name tacked on top, nothing more.
oh and trying to explain the yutani connection in the film was such a fucking joke... the weyland connection was KINDA interesting in the first one, atleast it was SEMI plausible, but adding yutani was just a try hard pathetic attempt to say look at me i watched the alien movies and im referencing them, arent i COOL!!
