man this film is video games lovers dream, reminded me of cod for some reason. exploding headshots and flailing limbs, i loved it. rambo is cool again.

As reducing the world's population should reduce the world's output of pollution, I come to the conclusion that Rambo cares about the world and means well.
just to post what i said in the last watched movies thread... a really great film, best of 2008 for me so far...

i just now finished watching it, and holy fuck, sly you did it you bastard, you made my smile again and remember the good ol days. simple plot setup, it wasnt over-preachy which was my main worry when i heard what the story was about (ie god-squad heroes...), some interesting characters, a hell of a journey, and typical rambo flair... and fuck me that was one of the coolest final battles ever
im still fucking smiling - not from the brutality as such, but purely because it was just a fun ride like the old days... it took itself seriously, but not to the point where it stopped having fun, you know?
8.5/10, definately going to get this in 1080, unless i have a bluray drive by the time it comes out, in which case id buy it.
sly did what everyone else has failed to do for the past 10+ fucking YEARS... -make a GREAT action film.
i watched the workprint with this big ass water mark that took up 97.8% of the screen... just shows how much fun i was having because i never really noticed it after the first 10 minutes
its not out in cinemas here yet i might just go and see it... with the right crowd, that final battle could be so much fucking fun
theyre sharing a laugh because stallones just told arnie that rambo 4 was so cheap to make because they used the locals instead of visual effects for the last sequence, and arnie just told stallone thats how they did the battle sequence in predator too
