I'm just interested what you think.

So far I really like the Legacy of Kain series. Great story there.

That question is actually a very hard one as alot of older games I enjoyed lacked story and most new games would be better off with out a storyline Rolling Eyes But I think I would take Baldur's Gate as my #1 pick.

I like the stories of Baldur's Gate 1&2, Final Fantasy 7 and Mass Effect best.
I'm probably forgetting some other great game though.

Never played legacy of kain.. oh wait... I did play one game on the playstation but that was so long ago that I don't remember anything anymore.

Alot of the old games had incredible storys; Baldurs gate, Ultima Underworld, Half-Life etc.

Though more recently I'd say the Half-Life 2 and EP:s take the price! That story could make a "direct" gametomovie transfer a HUGE success IMO.

The Witcher had a pretty nice story also... That open environment with 100% NPC speech makes the story and the "feel" of the game so much better.

But BEST story goes to HL2+EP:s Smile

It's a cross between: Fallouts, KoToR and The Longest Journey+Dreamfall
Though Max Payne 2 and the Diablo's are also worth mentioning...

Ultima-series (ultima7 and ultima7 II were incredible), Planescape Torment.. HL and Baldur's Gate has some really great characters, but the story is weak.

I would nominate an older game but that wouldn't be fair to the newer games Razz

Dreamfall, Bioshock (Though th eending of the game seemed stiched on like they ran out of ideas), Dragonshard had a fun story (love the DnD universe) and Timeshift ( I love games where you take place in a rebellion)

Yea its pretty corny, I know, but I liked it. The way it was told through Marius in D2 was really nice and the awesome cinematic cut-scenes helped a lot.

Moon patrol, Pacman, Tetris, etc all have a hidden story and who ever finds it it's said to be the best.

Seriously, I don't play games like you guys. My closest would be HL 2 because that's the only SP I finished, worth mentioning..
