Exactly the opposite for me. Hated the animation but the revised story was actually quite good. Very Happy

Yeah they kill her earlier on, after the attack on the hall. She has nothing to do with the dragon.

Yes, it was like some random, un-named dragon who had it in for beowulf. Atleast in the movie the third act is connected back to the first two.

As someone who hasn't decided whether or not I will see this, reading this thread has not changed my view either way? Sad

If you're one of those people who bemoan the untergang of the classics you should stay away from this movie. It takes a lot of liberties with the original story which, in my opinion, was a quite run-of-the-mill hero legend. Very Happy

Man kills monster. Man kills pissed-off mother-of-monster. Man killed in fight with another dragon unrelated to earlier ones. Razz

Maybe I will see it someday, I have no particular interest at the moment, and none of the comments has altered my views

Talking about actors CGi - i think its the future , motion capture the actors , then the famous ones will add they voice and you will have a non-aging actor that can do the toughest action sequences , they only need now better computers to speed up the rendering process .

Theres enough information out there on this film that it should be easy to decide on it's own merits whether you want to see it or not. I don't know why you seem to expect some anonymous poster on a forum to persuade you of anything.

The movie was great IMO (honestly I don't like mediaeval fantasy shit Wink. However I didn't understand one thing... Why is Beuwolf most of the time in fights naked?! Smile)

he fought naked only with Grendel, coz Grendel didn't had any close on him nor armor or a weapon, he wanted fight to be equal

then again i watched the friggin movie Rolling Eyes

there even were some moments that i thought was real stuff and not a cgi
anyway it was good enough for me, i still think if japs were involved gfx and animation could be much better and i think it's a bit too dark, maybe they tried to cover up some imperfection of the engine itself

it's definitely not a crappy movie altho as everything else it had some cons

nothing is perfect

and ppl tend to bitch about everything this days, it's just crazy

I too enjoyed it quite a bit.
It's not a perfect movie, i won't see it another time, but it's well over the limit where films become crap.
And yesterday evening watching Bloodrayne i remembered well what crap means Smile
