Hi,

Is there a motherboard with a 478 socket + DDRx2 memory? or every mobo with the 478 only has support for DDR1?? If so, could you help me find names of those magical 478+DDR2 mobos?

Is there like a transformer or something i can use that i can put on the 775 socket so it will be able to use a 478 processor?

socket 478 motherboards only support up to DDR memory.
I don't think socket 478 motherboards are even still beeing manufactured. that's some really old shit.

and no, you can never use a socket 478 processor on a socket 775 motherboard.

what's the problem with buying a new cpu? a 70$ Core 2 cpu will be probably be 5 times as fast as whatever piece of shit you are using right now.

I'd agree with Surray ... instead of trying to upgrade old shit, just buy new shit. For a couple hundred bucks you can probably get something that will last a couple years.
