which dl dvd's do i need to burn my back ups on + or -
also which programmes are best to do this with? sorry for the noobish ranting!

I have always used Clonecd with no problems.. just make sure you have the small file with the break layer data included, its like a cue file from a cue/bin cd image.. it will usually be called image.dvd and if u open it with notepad you will see something like
LayerBreak=1913760
IMAGE.000
this is needed to burn the dick properly and this is the file you will load up into clonecd, of course u need the image file in the same dir, this will normally be called image.000 and will be about 7 gig
