Wrong = General disatisfaction, not "The case has low build quality" for example.

No opinion on the price to performance difference between DDR2 and DDR3? |
Case is to small for 5 disks and i know you will add more. Forget about dd3 ATM its not worth the money. What do you think about full tower case? |
Figured as much on the DDR3, thus why I initially have the DDR2 on the list.. Figured I would confirm my assumptions to be true so thanks for that!
As for the case, I would be happy with a full tower, I have one now (Thermaltake Xaser V) and I love it! Still, that's not to say I wouldn't also like a midi, I'm open to suggestions (I wouldn't want to spend more money though)..

Well i would suggest you buy chieftec or thermaltake full tower but i dont know where you gonna buy youre case. If you would provide some links i could help you more. In my xp you will hate midi if you plan to have so much things inside.

Gah, I think I've fucked up my pricing.. still.. here is a slightly newer build (still working on the case.. more concerned about picking a good price for now..)
Corsair 550W VX Series PSU - £52.82
Antec P182 Advanced Super Midi Tower Black - £78.67
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2.66GHz (Retail 775) - £211.44
Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R Socket 775 Motherboard - £72.56
OCZ 4GB PC2-8000 Platinum XTC (2x2GB) - £70.44
XFX GeForce 8800GT Alpha Dog 512MB PCI-E - £166.79
652.72
Think the above is correct.. Ordering from http://www.aria.co.uk ...

Um. Why do I have to do this with you everytime?
Listen: "P.s. I wouldnt buy that case. Its not worth it imo but its up to you."
You made yourself clear, As did I. You did not respond to my question, you responded to the words in the sentence I wrote. I asked, What is wrong with the case? (That makes it not worth it?)
You obviously didn't understand my question and instead replied with your smart ass response. Don't worry you don't need to answer it. Yeah you don't care about my assumption but you failed to interpret what I said, and in the process came off as a jackass. And I dunno what your talking about the whining thing but alright, nice try.
Somebody is butthurt about the past.
Don't worry though, I'll avoid communication with you at all cost for my own sanity.
(Don't even respond, I'm going to again explain all over again for the next reply because that seems to be the trend with you.) |
Low iq ftl as i can see in youre post. First thing i was saying my opinion to a pearson that asked a question because guess what ? I see hundreds of cases a year so i pretty much know which ones are good. Second thing imo means in my opinion which is that that case isnt worth the money. That doesnt mean its a bad case, it simply means that its not worth the money. Can you understand that or i need to make a picture for you?
| Quote: | | I asked with the assumption the case is LACKING features for the money hence you indicating it's not worth the price. |
Do you even know what you post? YOU have assumption (An assumption is a proposition that is taken for granted, in other words, that is treated for the sake of a given discussion as if it were known to be true.) that case is lacking in features and you got that in youre mind because i said that case is not worth the money. BRAVO dear sir. So if someone says that Ferrari isnt worth the price they want for it OMG it must mean its LACKING IN FEATURES. It couldnt mean that you can get better deal oh no. Now plz stop polluting this thread with spam. If you have anything more to say send pm.Ktnxbye
P.s. You dont even own case we were talking about.

My god man, you are border line crazy, how do you take the statement I made and blow it into that? Awesome imagination. People cross shop, when you cross shop different cases, you use some comparative measures. Bang for the buck, money spent on one case may not be well worth it due to things lacking that a different cheaper/better case may have. I.E. Number of mounts for fans, the P180 series has plenty but there are other cases that are cheaper that have the same amount (Under the circumstances that cooling is a priority)
And to make you eat your words, Nobody bought the F50. It sat in museums and private garages. Why? Because the Mclaren F1 was faster, the Jag had the same BHP and a nicer interior, not to mention the F40 was much lighter. Do you get where I am going with this?
Have you seen the differences between the P180/182? Stop embarassing yourself man. It's like you have this train track mentality, even if it means plowing through a mountain. I asked a simple question out of curiousity for you to answer based on YOUR OPINION.
I did not insult you with the question, I did not come off as an asswipe, I did not respond like a jackass. Take your insults elsewhere.
EDIT: This is the last time, I acknowledge what you said. No more explaining it's hurting my brain. Refrain from running into more mountains. I'll follow Mortibus' lead with the Ignore button.

Care to let me know the differences between the P180 and P182? I have a friend who has built a machine using the P180 so it would be good to have some comparisons from him.

hmm I got the P182, far as im concerned its water cooling enabled (tube holes) and cable management on the left side of the case.

Main differences.
-Color
-Re-located switches for the Fans speed
-Rubber Grommet outlets on the back to run H2O
-Extra hole to pass through wires between upper and lower chamber
-Most Importantly: They let you access the back area of where you mount the Mobo to tuck cables. This makes Cable management 10x easier as that was the biggest complaint for the P180.
Other then that I believe they are identical. A lot of asian hardware sites even reviewed it as the P180 V.2 not the P182 as the differences are minimal.
I think it's a great case if noise is an issue for you, for maximum cooling it falls somewhere in the middle. There are cases that make compromises to ensure low temps but as you can tell the P180 does the opposite. Makes cooling compromises to keep the noise level down.

I dont shop for cases i work with them. I dont need to go to shop to compare anything because i build pcs for money. What does number of mounts have anything to do with case? What does 6 hdd slots mean if they are so crowded that disks generate great heat because of that? Or that big card doesnt fit inside because of that? Or 100 slots for vents when case is made in that way that only a small amount of air can go inside? Plz stop talking about stuff you dont know anything. First thing any normal perason should check is the size of case.If you plan to have many hdd drives you dont buy small case. Same goes if you want WC or many 5.25 drives.

Nobody bougth F50? You are joking right? All the cars they made they sold. You really should stop talking about stuff you have no idea. That car is dream car for many people even today.

Y i have seen it in , in fact i built few pcs with THESE cases. Do you own one? No you dont. You saw one on the internet so it makes you an expert. O how i love people with no xp to talk about stuff they dont know nothing. You built how many pcs in youre life? I built couple of thousands so far and in different cases. And i am embarrassing myself? Thank you mister superior american. If you knew how to read then you would see that this case is to small for him.

Where did i insult you? I only stated the obvius. You need to accept the cold truth.

btw, i put together a friends PC yesterday (E6850, 8800GT, Gigabyte P35-DQ6, 4gb DDR3 (lol), 150gb raptor + 750 gb seagate, Corsair 650W PSU and a Antec P182)
It was the first time ive ever seen a P182 on the inside, and i now i got to put together a PC from scratch with it. What an awesome case! Cable management, component placement, cooling, quality - everything is just great!
I gotta get myself one
Watercooled 5950X | AORUS Master X570 | Asus RTX 3090 TUF Gaming OC | 64Gb RAM | 1Tb 970 Evo Plus + 2Tb 660p | etc etc

Ok, as the quads seem to be delayed, but the duals are out now I'm going to reconsider the duals.. Does anyone have any benchmarks between the Yorkfields and Wolfdales ?

Aren't the quads affected by that FSB bug and pushed back because of it? I'm pretty sure i read that somewhere just recently.

I have an 8400 @3900 Mhz standing next to me - with an 8800 gt, 4 gigs of ram.
Some benchmarks:

Board is a gigabyte x38 - the p35 will do just as fine as the x38. Ram is cheap takeMS Ram 2x2048 mb - a good overclocker for a decent price (payed 60€ for 4 gigs) - does the 500 Mhz with an ease.
CPU is a bad overclocker :/ . With a little luck you can push it to 4200 Mhz easily. Cooler is a xigmatek 90mm. fine for that setup.
if you want the best oc performance and have some money left i`d say go 8500. It seems the limits of the 8400 are much lower than these of the 8500th.
With a good cooling you can push the core volts to ~1.4 volts. that`s still acceptable imo. If you plan to get good ram, you can even buy an 8200. seems they overclock almost as good as the 8500. limiting factor is most likely the fsb (depends on what your ram can do).
The cpu is working with 1.4 volts here - 10h prime95 stable, 10h 3dmark06 stable.

God this PC build is making my brain hurt.. It seems that almost everyone on the planet thinks that buying a Q6600 is the best option right now due to its price and OC ability. There is the new "G0 stepping" version which looks to be far cheaper than the normal version but for the life of me I can't understand why!
Not to mention no one seems to sell decent PC cases in the UK.. I want one retailer I can buy it all from! Is that really so hard?!
