Like the book?
What you mean Victorian England with a Journalist trying to get killed. Meeting an Artillery man with massive plans, but little vigour.

Uhuh. And I fucked Keeley Hazel in the ass yesterday. |
Movies come in Wednesday or Thursday. Paramount movies usually come in Wednesday and it did. It was labeled "Burtha". It was 5 reels. The last reel had like 2 minutes of footage and like 10 minutes of credits. The Ruins and Star Trek were attached to the print as a combo trailer. We also got a digital print of it in. Credits start at 1:13 and the total runtime is 1:24. The movie had the same security as every other movie that comes out which is none. It wasn't like Transformers which had a lock on it and they didn't give us the code until the day it was released so we couldn't even screen it. The trailers I had to put on were The Ruins/Star Trek, Iron Man, Jumper, 21, 10,000 BC and one other movie that I forget.

SO just saw the movie and man it really made me trip out. Though I smoked a phat one before the movie. Definatly worth the watch though. Take it for what it is and dont think of it as strictly a monster movie. Its all about the individuals experience. Think of it like you being one of the people near 9/11 and seeing it from your own eyes. 8.5/10 for me on this one.

yeah ultimately its the hype and the fact that hack abrahms name is tacked onto it, thats going to make people say its so cool... its not innovative, and im sure its not clever, its just the result of clever marketing, and i DONT believe that good marketing = a good film, unlike some.
of course ill have to reserve my final review for when i SEE it, but im pretty sure my opinion wont change, though i will view it with as little bias as possible... who knows, maybe ill end up liking it, its not the first time my minds been changed from a first impression... but i dunno...

Why the fuck would each and every movie be inovative. If you take the movie for what it is (yes it's a style that's already been done but not to that magnitude as for the disastirous event then this movie was well excecuted for what they were trying to get. All you bitching mother fuckers seriously have to stop nit picking every little fucking thing that is realeased and sometimes just stfu and just watch it for what it's suppose to be. Think about it have you not wondered what it was like for the people around 9/11 in new york as far as fear etc... This movie (though it's a monster) give you a good feeling of peoples reactions in a situation of a catastrophic event. That's why none of you douches who are bitching are critics. And Chiv we all know you like to bitch for the sake of bitching it's growing old.

Overhyped movie with no substance?

Looks who is talking. Why are you so fired up? You are the one bitching, not us. And what Chiv said is just his predictions - as he said he'll reserve final judgment until he sees it.

HAHAHAHAHA PWNED
And he was bitching at me cause i kind of like Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Mortal Kombat movies sucks donkeys balls.
No hard feelings chiv |
i dunno if i rated it that high, but fine, i definately stand by the fact that the original mk was a really good film, the fight choreography was excellent, 10x better than what was in any of the matrix films or any other american produced films featuring martial arts, and the soundtrack was fucking awesome. the second film was fucking rubbish though

Spoiler: | Yes, Capt. Cox. That's the real monster. |
This movie was fantastic. A break from traditional movies. Hollywood should have shut down for January just to let this movie play and then resume with all new stuff. Kind of like an intermission while Hollywood rethinks itself.
Anyway, there were a ton of jump spots and there's a new noise that will terrify my dreams forever!
This movie was fantastic. Enjoy!
