theres indeed a problem about respawn.
it is often based on the zone where u are "used" to play (especially if u play in 5-6 players, to reduce the time to search for the other ones), so it happens to spawn 2 metres behind the place u died; that is the place where all the other ones will be since they prolly saw u on the radar.
plus, from what ive seen theres no real map max players allowed, so u may actually play in 24 in a relatively small map like Showdown, meant at max for 8-10 players.

Any is getting or knows how to fix the horrible lag in MP? As soon as i start up MP, it starts to lag, like my computer is from 99. The SP runs very well and never had this problem, but in MP, even in the menu it chugs. I tried to lowest settings, suggested settings, and nothing, the same lag is there. The exe is original, dont know what to do  . System Specs are E6700, 2 gigs of ram, 8800 Gt, so yeah i dont see why it lags.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.

Krest. I had the same problem. I solved it by updating my HD 3970 catalyst drivers to v7.12.
As you have Nvidia card, try to update your forceware version.

What do people expect? Of course people are going to pirate your game. Shock, horror!
Of course it's all bullshit. The reason they make console games is because it's both cheaper and easier (and thus more profitable). Playing games on a console is quite different to playing them on a PC - it's a more relaxed sort of past-time (generally speaking) and for this reason games that aren't really up to much can be enjoyed in that context. On the PC of course it's different, and games like that either won't find the sales numbers or get pirated to death (or indeed both). On the PC it's far more competitive and specialised a market so your game better kick ass or fill some sort of niche... and sure the impending threat of piracy and the ease at which it's available to potential customers is a real problem but it also has the edge in preventing saturation of filler-crap.
Digital downloads have took off in a big way - a lot of piracy is all about immediacy and so on, it's a multi-faceted problem that is often broken down into one intended action; steal the game - but it's obviously not that simple.
PC gaming will continue for as long as PC's exist, no worries there.
Incidentally I paid more for the digital download of COD4 than I would have if I bought it retail....

Hmm why i should pay money for 5h game, if i don't interested in MP? It's worth maybe 5euros.
Tryed MP and i don't see for what i must pay. MP is shit in this game.

I agree this game is bobbings.
I bought it and have played it 5 times maybe 4.
I'm going to re-try again now but seriously can't see whats so good about this game especially multiplayer(the reason i bought the dang game)It's shit miles worse then bf2 what is still good.
Single player seems good but other then that tis a crap game.
No vechiles doesn't help at all.

Im actually glad there are no vehicles - if I want vehicle power I would go for battlefield. Thats what I like about CoD series (yeah, I know there was some vehicles in the expansion for the first one)
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

What? I play it competitive and it works just fine alot like COD2 but what to expect when its former COD2 folks who makes the pam mode...

Just installed COD4 again out of pure boredom...MAN this game ROCKS! so much!. I forgot how intense some of the levels are!
I guess RB6LV2 will be the next one to sort a level up to COD4...but in the meantime I think I play some more COD4

This game has the best multiplayer i've ever played. Everything from the maps to the weapons is just perfect.
No other game even comes close.
