There's nothing wrong with being a Total War rip off, but if it doesn't have a management feature and is all about battles, then it has nothing to offer me.

Also I hope you're not stuck with just the Crusaders. Those guys were asshats.

Game sounds quite interesting and based on previews like this one the game could be quite good.

http://worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=51130

Downloaded it a few hours ago but haven't tested it yet, will give it a run and report how it is. Smile

EDIT: The game uses AGEIA for physics but includes old drivers so if the installer tries to execute those drivers be sure to cancel them to avoid overwriting the newer drivers.
(EDIT: Installation finished, didn't automatically try to install all sorts of weird drivers.)

EDIT: Neo_Logo, Virgin_Logo and Crusader_Logo appears to be the movie files one can remove to skip logo videos, don't remove the others.
(Seems the game has multiple endings as it has multiple ending videos.)

EDIT: Minus points for no resolution choice but plus points for multiple character choices.
(Not much of a minus point though as the resolution was automatically set to 1680x1050)

A large part of the game appears to be managed from these menus when you're not fighting as it allows you to manage and train troops and similar.
(Not all options are active at the start of the game.)

The battle phases appear quite similar to the Total War series.

The actual combat doesn't seem as fierce or varied as in Total War but there's still alot of tactical choices possible such as formations, height and terrain differences to name some of the things.

(Arches are always a good choice to weaken up infantry with.)

(Then use the knights to defeat the troops, didn't take any causalities but there weren't that many enemy soldiers.)

Battles usually consists of several objectives and on the whole the game is very mission based compared to for example Total War.
(The games are pretty similar but still differ a bit from one another.)

I'd say the game begins a bit slow but once you get used to it and progress a bit it will probably get better with larger armies, better troops and probably capturing cities and similar.
(Jerusalem was mentioned but that's pretty obvious as this is about the crusades.)

Map appears pretty big as well so completing the game might take a while.

(Together with completing faction specific missions and getting a good rating it could take even longer.)

try going into the install folder and looking for the .ini file and see if it has the resolution in the settings, then change it to what you want.

Why the hell did ViTALiTY stop tagging releases? They haven't included the tag for the last 4-5 releases in dirname or filename...
