Well, I recently installed the patch, and GOT A 22 INCH WIDESCREEN SAMSUNG LCD with 2 ms response time and 3000:1 contrast ratio.

The game is about 20% smoother now for me, even with a significantly higher resolution.

Yeah, runs real nice with the patch. I commend Crytek on their badass job optimizing such an amazing engine in such short time after release. Sure other games look pretty too(cod3, gow, ect) but none with the feeling you can pretty much do what you want with what the game gives you to play with.

Looks amazing now that I can run 2xAA without turning into a slideshow Very Happy But really, looks amazing now with less jaggies on the awesome environments... Still harder for me to complete each mission, I just like looking at everything so much Razz Probably played the game for 10 hrs so far and still havent seen an alien since the part from the demo. Oh well, why rush it?

I spend hours destroying the trees ,buildings in every possible way. After that there is editor within you can do anything you want. Like spawn 1k of barrels and render the scene at 30 fps in virtual dub. Laughing
Then you show movie to the friedn and tell you captured this with fraps on your nasa pc Laughing Laughing Laughing
It always work

Look for Studio HiCZoK movies and arts !

im playing through the story now for the second time and im almost 2/3's of the way through. I have yet to encounter the same scenario twice Smile love it...one point in the game I was like shit I remember this spot but I remember I got there taking a different path I was like that's so cool hehe. So yeah the landmarks stay the same but how you get there is definatly varied to the most extreme.

cpu is definitely your bottleneck but you could do with 2 (or 3) of those cards if you want to play near max settings.

Alas put everything on high and put post processing effects on medium and volumetric effect on medium and motion blur on medium you should get a descent FPS with your system specs.

Your CPU is definitely the slowest part of your system, but it shouldn't impact crysis performance that much. The most important thing is the graphics card, but unfortuantely you didn't say which one you have exactly.
There are 3 different 8800 GTS cards: 320MB, 640MB and 512MB.

The 320mb one is enough to maybe play properly on medium settings, with 640 you can put some on high.
The 512mb 8800 GTS is the fastest one and it should allow you to play with ok framerates with everything on high.

Keep in mind that Crysis is the most demanding game out there right now and it will NOT run fluid (30+fps at all times) with everything on max, on no single graphics card out today.
You should keep the resolution low (1024x768, 1280x1024) if you want to play with max settings or it will be almost unplayable with anything but 2 SLI 8800 GT, GTS, GTX or Ultras.

I tried medium shaders just to see how the game looks for people with slower computers and damn... that setting is very important on high. When you set on medium it's like all of crysis jungle atmosphere just disappears and becomes some generic game from 2002. Lucky I can play on all high + very high config Smile

The version number?

1.1.5879
(1.1 update - English version / language probably doesn't matter though and it's the same number with the cracked executables.)

EDIT: 64-bit first said 1.0.0.1 but then I noticed the "Launch tool for SecuROM" and the smaller Crysis64.exe file which also has the 1.1.5879 build number.

I think medium doesnt look to bad, it all looks a bit more contrastfull, still prefer high though.

Add "-dx9" without quotes to shortcut, for example:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32\Crysis.exe"
would become:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32\Crysis.exe" -dx9

If you dont have a shortcut in games explorer, or on desktop, make one on the desktop and edit parameter like above Wink

Well went out and bought 2 x 8800 GTS 512MB BFG OC ones and tried to run crysis on Very high and I can manage. damn it looks beautifull and I though on high it looked good hehe. so I get about 30 fps at 1920x1200. Get the odd stutter here & there but barely.
