|
 |
Was at a one day BT to Manchester today (can't say why ) Anyho, it was SPITTING! like it does in them parts of the ol empire. But when it was time for lunch, we got...
The classical "roast beef sandwiches, crisps and orange slush (or what ever that's called, i guess you know what i mean)" MAN! do u guys always eat stereo typical lunches or what
Was at a language/Sailing camp in Hastings like back in 1975 as a young pup, and we had exactly the same stuff back then...but as school kids
Adding here:
I must say (my opinion) I never met a nicer security crew then on Manchester Airport. I know U guys have pretty severe checks (due to the TERORIST THREAT!) but man!, these guys are pure sweethearts!. Although, I saw one "security" woman giving this other woman in a "head scarf" pretty stern looks for not wanting to open her backpack .
Other then that it was "of course sir, no problem sir, right this way sir, anything to help sir etc" bloody brilliant!.

Look I'll say this once. No food is unhealthy if eaten in moderation.
If you stuff your face every day with burgers and fried food every day, it will damage your health.
If you eat nothing but green salads every day, it will damage your health.
The best diet is to have a lot of variety. Veg, fruit, meat, fish. Even the odd treat won't hurt you.

Yeah, its true what you say, but some things just aint good in any amounts. Yes we need sugar.. but we don't need white flour. We aren't made to eat it, even tho we have been eating it for ages. A lots of people have great issues because of white flour. If darwin was right we would probably handle it better now, but we don't (maybe in some 1000 year). People mostly get stomach problems etc. "spelt" flour is much more healthy
you see what my mom have done to me

No because even white flour won't kill you. Like I said, everything in moderation and at times a little in excess. It won't harm you.
If you concentrate on one food you will be harmed. The key is in variety.
Take rabbit for example. Low in fat, but if you just eat that it can be lethal.
You can actually starve to death if you just eat it. It happened to the settlers in America.

The Japanese probably some of the healthiest people on the planet (now declining due to Western diets) believe that you should eat at least 20 different types of food each day.
What you have to think about a healthy diet is what we would eat in the wild.
Basically humans are animals. We've not evolved to the level in which we're eating and farming. It takes a hell of a lot longer than 1000 years Deelix. Evolution is a lot slower than that.
So in the wild we would probably have eaten mostly berries and nuts. Some veg yet not a lot of meat. But lots of different foods in all.

As far as we know, Okinawa has the healthiest people on earth. How do we know this? Well, to begin with, they have a higher number of centurions (100 years or older) per capita than any other country in the world – more than three times those in America. Plus, compared with the high U.S. incidence of heart disease, Okinawans have just a minimal risk. They also have 80% less breast and prostate cancer, 50% less colon and ovarian cancer and 40% fewer hip fractures. |

hmm...i dunno about that. I dont really like pudding as it is. The texture bothers me. I like the streak and kidney pie because of the crust and the kidney pieces and steak with a side of mashed potatoes to dip in the gravy you know?
Pudding...i dont even like regular chocolate pudding

wow, what a revelation ... eat moderate amounts of healthy food, get plenty of exercise, and concentrate on lowering stress and creating strong social networks.
I mean shit, this is nothing new, it's just that people don't care to listen, after all, they are to busy trying new fad diets to pay attention.

How about "Eel Pie" is that something "typical" English
don't know where I heard about it, could have been in a episode of "The Mighty Boosh". Anyho, asked the guys at work (the Brits that is) and they went...WTF is that!. Another thing to try is "Mushy Peas" I guess . Or is it only ppl from Bolton that likes that stuff...Peter Kay springs to mind
