can the razor release be mounted on DT in order to check if this update actually makes such a big perfomance fix like they claim it does?

Same system as you, except I have core2quad instead of duo, I advise you to use XP, runs perfectly with those specs, in Vista I have 30-40% slower performance....

Freakness wrote: | Glottis wrote: | Looks like your installation of Crysis is messed up, I didn't have this when patching. | Ofcourse its messed up, I deleted multiplayer maps etc, but it must work anyway, like any other patch. So I unpacked Crysis DVD image again and now it says PCW_CAB_family1 not found. The terrifying saga of shit patches begins. Edit: I repaired Crysis installation and the patch seems to work now. :( |
wait.. you delete files from the crysis installation and then complain that the patch don't work and even blame crytek? that's just wrong.
on another note, this patch sucks ass.
can't believe we waited 2 months for this piece of shit. they could probably do the changes they made in 2 days if they wanted to. and why the hell is that patch 120mb? by the changelog it looks like a 2mb patch.
and what did they do to the AA vehicle? it was impossible to use on servers with FF on before, but now it just seems totally useless.
I bought one today and fired all the ammunition it had at a VTOL and didn't even manage to kill it (and yes I hit it a lot too)
that vtol fired all it's missiles (8 I believe) at me and I was at 45% damage or something.
Crysis could have been great in multiplayer, but if things continue like this (patches with simple fixes take forever to get released, no linux server, no sdk, no proper rankings) then Crysis multiplayer will most likely die soon.
it's a great single player game, and the power struggle mode is good fun, but the bugs and balance issues and cheating just ruin it all.

Well if most of you chumps would of read up on what was coming you would of noticed that no big games changes/fix's were being implemented into this patch. This was more for stability and performance. So stop your bitching and take it for what it is and if the patch isnt' working then buy the fucking game. Peace out

I knew what was coming, and this patch would have been fine it was realeased maybe 2 weeks after the game, but not 2 months. the changes in this patch are a joke for something that took so long to release.

I did not delete anything that is core game files, only mp maps and videos. I did the same with FC and other games and it worked fine, but not with Crysis.

Well take in to concideration the advancement & how powerfull the engine is and try to imagine how many lines of code there are for them to trolly through. Just a though of what you see visually isn't all what is in the game. Seem to forget these things.

I don't know about increase, it runs as well as it ever did here. Perhaps if anything, it's a little smoother...? I run the game 1280x1024 with the very high settings configuration. Runs great

Now I can play this game with dual 3870. I think the patch is only for SLI or CF system. From the first time I can't play crysis with dx10 in CF (must use dx9), with this patch everything is normal here with CF.
