I'm looking for a game to play over the holidays, something that will work on my crappy laptop and doesn't require constant attention or time. Something online would rock, a browser based game maybe? Or maybe something that I can play in a window while doing other stuff!

Thoughts? Crying or Very sad

Diablo 2 unless you hate the game - easy on the system req's plus nowadays there's plenty of nice mods available for single play if you're bored with the vanilla version.

Really nice small game, a bit Splinter-ish Wink
You can set it to run in window.

Check out the Skulltag link in my sig. Its a online sorce port of Doom that you can play online with up to 32 players. 15 Games modes, Old-school or QuakeIII/Unreal style controls, OGL support.

If I got it to run on one of my old laptops (366Mhz, 128Mb RAM, 4Mb Graphics Memory xD) then im sure you will get it running on yours.

All you need is the original doom, or doom2.wad (Torrents *Cough*) which is about 12Mb. Then Your away playing!

Not played it in ages but used to be a big fan of Utopia:

http://games.swirve.com/utopia/

It's a browser game which is tick based so no constant attention required.

You can find lots out about it here (if you play Angel is a must and they have strategies for beginners):
