well you could have designed a $6000 machine for work... multimedia editing etc... so you don't need access to the internet... or just for simple pleasures like playing offline games... you don't need internet... they’re are a lot of people who use computers for work and don't need internet access to do so...
not everyone is a kid who wants to play online games day in day out
and saying so… kids will buy this game and seeing the uncanny persuasive power kids possess their daddies 4.5k machine will be instantly hooked onto the internet.
Even if you do buy it out of the box… they are just steam files… it goes like that
It installs steam with everything… I’m sure a lot of you seen 800mgb sized steam torrents… they had steam and cs/dod/or what ever
That’s what hl2 will be out of the box… a 3.5 gb steam package… maybe even more… dod/cs/css/hl1:s/ fuck man…

I received an e-mail from Gamestop.com informing me that HL2's release date was changed from November 16th to November 15th, EBgames.com also has HL2 down for a November 15th release date. I saw on another forum that others have received the same e-mail. I know there has been no official change of release date press release from VU. Does anyone else know anything about this?

but! single player is what took them years to create! css was just this years project!
so if people cheat and miss out on the great things the game won't be as amazing as it was advertised!

That's because it ships the 15th and will be in stores the 16th. Like the release date for Halo 2 is November 9th but at ebgames.com they list the 8th. That's because it ships the 8th and if you have overnight shipping you get it the 9th.

That's because it ships the 15th and will be in stores the 16th. Like the release date for Halo 2 is November 9th but at ebgames.com they list the 8th. That's because it ships the 8th and if you have overnight shipping you get it the 9th. |
yeah i thought about that but both ebgames and gamestop had it down for the 16th origionally once the release date was announced but they just changed it to the 15th. it just seemed a little odd, it could very well be nothing but im just keeping my hopes up because for some people a day can make a difference.
