No point really, this isnt a sim like live for speed or gtr. Thats where the g25 really shines.
In most wanted the car feels more nimble while in pro street its more sluggish. Im not expecting nfs to feel like live for speed but at least make the car handle descently.

the game is indeed not live for speed or gtr, but this is the first NFS that handles fine with a ff wheel, it does with my momo force anyway, so Im certain it will too with your g25.

I agree. The others NFS were arcade style. This is the first one that feels somewhat more realistic.
It is not a sim game, but it feels much more close to it than the other ones which are arcade.
I think it is the few good things of the game.

How is it possible for a car with less than half my bhp, do a better drag time with a lower speed?? Look at my time and Tomonori Uetake time. It is just impossible. Since we cant see the opponent races, it is like the computer generates a random time. :s
Even in grip and other races, sometimes the A.I. with weak cars just fly into oblivion.
Does this only happen with me? Noone else noticed this?
Speaking of good things. How is it possible to increase the bhp of a car, even if ii has everything at level 3?
P.S.--->Sorry about the giant picture, forgot to resize it. |
You know HP is not everything, torque is more important in drag. Then comes gear ratios, you can accelerate faster and then have less speed at the end, but you reach the cars "top speed" faster -> you have lower time.
I got 825HP, but over 1000NM of torgue in mine and that baby flies (even of the track).
And no, you can't go over the 3rd stage, unless you win those rare 4th stage parts. I've got only 1 in one car from those end race price pics. You can however tune your car to have more bhp with turbo & cam timing (or what the setting was called, the first one), but that's it. If you have maxed those, you have maxed the car, buy another
And those who have hard time winning races, have you tuned the cars good? ½hour tuning with practise on some racedaytrack for one car should do it, if after that you can't win, then again change car
Still I'm not yet done the downside of super promotion and king challenges still ahead, so it might get a lot harder. But hard is good, I'm trying to save the game until I get my new GPU and can max the shadows too and get a great framerate

Well a fully tuned supra does 1/4 in ~6.5 and 1/2 in some low 11s...
At 1/2 mile race I reach my top 403km/h top speed at like 2/3 of the track and I have to finish the rest of the track at that speed.
Happens the same with subaru, it's top speed somehow is also 403km/h...
Screw you guys. I'm going home.

NFS PS: Patch is coming at the end of December
Unfortunately NFS ProStreet isn't running as good as it should on PCs. Many of you experience framerate droppings, slowdowns for now reason and crashes. This should hopefully be solved at the end of December, because EA is already working on a patch for the game, which should fix some bugs and adds LAN functionality. For more information, please read on:
First off, alot of you have been looking forward to LAN play and I'm pleased to say we will be releasing a LAN patch towards the end of December. Included in the patch will be fixes for many of the existing bugs. A large issue in this thread deals with choppy gameplay and crashes - although our team is constantly working on this issue with the feedback you have all provided - we were hoping some of you might be able to help us even further by sending us your computer's DXDIAG file, so that they can further investigate the problem by looking at the specs of your individual machines. In order to get your DXDIAG file, follow these simple steps:
-In Windows, press START > Run...
-type in "dxdiag" and hit OK
-If prompted, hit YES in the dialogue box
-Once the status bar on the bottom left side of the box completes, hit SAVE ALL INFORMATION
-The information gets saved into a .TXT document
You can then email that .TXT document to nfs@ea.com with Subject line: ProStreet DxDiag
I hope this helps to answer some of your questions, and please know that all of us in the studio are continually working to make your ProStreet experience a great one.

That's the understatement of the year! I didn't try the full game but the demo is completely unplayable (even with reduced details) if you don't have a high-end computer. I wonder what they did to fuck up the performance that bad because it doesn't look very good. I don't believe this can be fixed with a patch.

Well I have a A64 3800+, 2 GB, XFX 7600 GT XXX, Audigy 4, WinXP. I tried the demo with almost all options set to low (maybe one or two at medium), 1280x1024, AA+AF disabled and it was choppy as hell and ran with ~5 FPS. Maybe it's playable in 800x600 with all options off/low but who wants to play like that?? I will soon get a 7900 GS XXX, maybe I will try it again then but I don't think it will be enough to make the game playable with decent settings. That's why I'm downloading the Xbox 360 version right now.

So, they're offering two new maps and 6 "new" cars for a sum of 10$...and wonder why people support piracy?
