Hmm, I cant see any big similarities between WC3 and these SC2 screenshots to be honest. Where WC3 had typical "triangle-ish" models SC2 seems to have a lot more round models, not to mention a hell of a lot more photo-realistic and detailed. If anything the terrain and art-style there could be compared, but thats only fluff to be honest (and only the green-grassed areas look similar).
Anyways, it looks delicious.

I think its the vibrant colors and buildings which look a little similar, but thats just what happens I guess. Coincidence.

You do know what a coincidence is right? It's made by the same developer, it's not a coincidence.
Anyway, I think it has the same graphical style as Warcraft 3 too. It looks great don't get me wrong, thats not a slur on the graphics, just that there are similarities.

wow underground tunnels would be amazing haha.
I can't wait to see how the storyline plays out, if the pattern from the last two sc persists, that means terran will "win" this campaign. But the chances are they are going to do something different... I hope toss get the homeworld back from the zerg, kinda felt sorry for them after brood war.

How did that "publicity game" managed to get played by so many? (talking about Spot, not SC2). The guys at the marketing development seemed to have done a good job.

Get over yourself. The game looks great. The graphics are indeed vibrant, but i wouldnt have them any other way.
+1 to the game, cant wait for all the mp matches im gonna play with my friends.

Vibrant is the warcraft feel and it's wrong. Where's the starcraft and diablo darkness ??? Fucking Blizzard with Warcraft 3 and WoW have gotten carried away ...
They should call this Koreacraft 2.

i think SC1 was great because modding was at it's early years and only a few people knew really how to create a cool mod for the game! think that's why SC1 is being still played in PGL. old but cool. hope they do not dissapoint us by creating a dota version (mod) for SC2.
about the new posts, pictures, videos.....  . awsome . though they shold make it more "dark" (can't find the right word:D) |

You just answered your own question. Plus dota aint half bad, i should know i've been playing it for 2 years.
+10 on vibrant gfx. I win now. If you want darkness, turn down your gamma, and let me enjoy my bright, colorful, beautiful game.

Cool videos here, maybe SC2 will have a good amount of sales but I doubt it will equal the first. My only real complaint I have is I think the graphic needs to be more dark, like less sharp unit colors like Sajuuk_Khar mentions above I believe.

trust me, it's very very bad. all that addictiveness is BAD. if they create a DOTA thing for SC2 then the game is lost. hope they don't do that.
and about that graphics..... they should really be darker otherwise it's just like playing a kids game = Dota
it's not about Gamma we are talking here ..... the colors are too ... powerfull... too colored

And reducing your gamma fixes that. You cant make a dark and gritty game appear bright and vibrant, but you can do it the other way around. That way everyones happy.

it doesn't look _that_ vibrant... I dont know what everyone is complaining about..
dont judge from these new videos because they are of poor quality, try watching some on the sc2 sites. From those videos I dont mind the new graphics at all.

As countless people have stated before me; This is NOT how the game is gonna look when its done, Blizzard are still ajusting alot of things in SC2, both graphics wise and balance/units wise.
