In Fury you are one of the Chosen, great warrior who once dominated the battlefields of the ancient world. Now, you have been called back – reincarnated and reborn into an age of strife and struggle, an age when your heroics are needed once more. The world sits on the brink of annihilation. Only the Chosen can take to the battlefield to fight and recover the Essence – a magical force that will save the land from destruction. Through combat, you will recover the lost memories of your former life and with them, ancient magic and powers long forgotten. As one of the Chosen, you must reveal your past to fight for the future.
Fury takes the best elements of an MMO and an FPS for a fast-paced blend of dynamic online combat. The game play cycle lets you fight, earn rewards, and use those rewards to customize your character as much as you want.

hahaha, you re learning fast, young padawan Thnx for the gamershell linkage! =)
The screenies look nice, but that was to be expected with the u3 engine, i guess. What i dont understand is, that everybody only wants to do online-games now. It's not as if that will help sales with FPS, it s not WoW damnit...

anything for you my love
You are right though, it's not WoW, you don't have to pay per month if I read correctly.
It's still in beta so that might be why, theres been times when it was the software's fault that captured it

I've been playing the alpha on and off. The performance is AWFUL but the gameplay is HELLA fun. Think unreal tournament meets everquest meets DAOC.
Once they fix all the mem leaks and optimize it... (I have a 7800GT and on 800x600 it ran pretty crummy).

Anyway , is this going to be P2P or F2P with a cash shop ?? I assume P2P but you never know.Also , while the graphics look nice , the character animations look jerky (look at that guy swinging his 2 hand sword in the vid it look like complete shit) but that may be just because of the bad framerate in the vid.
And finally , i have an hard time trusting something coming from a company called Gamecock |
Actually Gamecock is a company to trust, the creaters of God Games (Gather of Developers) are the ones that formed it. Their games rocked too.

Seems like everyone can get into their "closed" beta test. Although the servers are only open on the weekends.

Australia, August 10, 2007 - Auran Games today released details on the business model structure for its highly anticipated PvP MMO Fury. After a standard price retail release (both online and bricks and mortar), the game will be free to play, with regular content updates. Auran is focused on ensuring that all players will have access to the most powerful abilities and items in the game, but that said, there will be an optional subscription model. Subscribing to the game and becoming an 'Immortal' (players get one month as an Immortal free when they buy Fury) will give players the following benefits:
* Quick travel in the Sanctuaries and Schools
* VoIP talk privileges
* One additional Item Roll Slot
* Extended "rested gold bonus"
* Selling privileges on the Auction House
* Priority log-in queuing
* Entry into weekly and seasonal Ladders
* Personal player battle statistics
* In-game Customer Service access
* Elite access to the test server to preview new content
"We've put a lot of effort into getting the business model right for our game," Adam Carpenter, Fury's Creative Director, commented. "Some players will play Fury in their lunch time or for an hour after work and they will be less interested in a full subscription model. Other players will devote many hundreds of hours to Fury in order to complete over 800 Trials, unlock 4,000 Tiered abilities and rise to the rank of Eternal. So with Fury you can play casually and play for free, or if you are playing seriously for many hours, it is likely you will want to subscribe to receive the additional benefits."
So, how much will Fury cost? After the first month, you're looking at USD$9.95 to stay as an Immortal. If you choose not to pay you'll drop down to Hero status, where you can still reach the highest ranks in the game. According to Auran, Heroes "are not disadvantaged in terms of power they can achieve. Heroes can fight, advance, earn rewards, trade, buy auction items, join Clans, send mail and have access to the same number of Incarnation save slots as Immortals. They also receive the standard rested gold bonus, they have two item roll slots at the end of battle (Immortals have three) and can listen on Fury's integrated VoIP system."
Fury will also have a Game Card system online and through retail partners that will allow players to pay for gold, which is redeemed in-game. Check out the official site or join in discussions on the forums.
