Thats the point.

If Farcry 1.4 runs on High on your maschine with 100fps then the mod "Delta Sector" is going to run with about 30-40fps

You can´t compare engines in a such dummy way.

Crysis have the best engine at the moment ,u3 its cool but old.

The bottom line it´s that people with 2 years old pc want to run Crysis in high at 60 fps.

I cant tell if a engine its bad or good programed im not a developer, but most of the people here talk shit.

Age usually don't do much for a engine if it's well supported and updated.

Just check the early Gamebryo or Source engine with the later versions.
(Morrowind -> Oblivion / Same engine but different versions.)

As for UE3 it's been trough alot of revisions from what I've read, which is one of the reasons the PC version of GoW is not compatible with the X360 version.
(I think Roboblitz was the first commercial UE3 title though there's alot of studios who have it licensed.)

Rolling Eyes Problem is, even the most recent hardware can't run this crap at 60 fps.

Problem being? Why oh why do you need above 60 fps in all games? It's not like it's unplayable below 60.

Some of us like games that are not slideshows (read sig). For me, 30fps is too low to really enjoy something.

Problem are people that spend 1000$ for their computer and who then expect to play everything on very-high. If they can't do that its OMG unoptimizzzed ENGINE.

And since I know that crysis can be perfectly played on systems that can't even run a single ue3 game! I know that all talk about it being unoptimised is bullshit.

I'm sure that if you make the UE3 games look as bad Crysis on that PC (i.e. turn everything off and then some), they will work much better.

They can't run the UE3 games because they don't have PS3.0?

Because thats nothing to do with optimization.

Not shure, does crysis run without 3.0 shaders? Anyway my other comp has 6800 and crappy amd xp, and cysis is playable, while everything around ue3 is not.

Ok, ut3 had decent framerate for couple of low players deathmatch games.

Please, I've ran so many UE3 games on my crappy laptop (which has x1400 btw), so 6800 can't run them? And on that 6800, you've ran at low, which looks like a 2-3 year old game.

well maybe he just recently bought a new PC.
for 1000$ you can get a really nice pc these days.

I just went to confirm that myself.
for 750€ I could get the following:

Core 2 Duo E6750
Gainward 8800 GT
Samsung 200gb HDD
Asus P5K mobo
2gb corsair DDR-800 CL4 ram
Coolermaster Centurion midi tower
be quiet 450w PSU

and that wasn't the cheapest shop around. so getting that stuff for under 1000$ shouldn't pose any problem

and there you got a full nice gaming rig for a low price that can run crysis on high settings easily (high, not very high).

Do you disagree CC? :-)

hehe well he said almost everything on high. If you reduce shadows, shaders or post processing to medium that should give you a really nice boost Smile

I don't defend Crysis based on an editor and MP.I don't care for MP much.I liked the single player aspect and it was very entertaining IMHO.However I would have liked to see more action with the north korean communist bastards then with the aliens.

As far as graphics well I ran it from low to semi-medium.Still looked great, ran decent.I don't care about FPS numbers an crap.As long as lag isn't bad I'm satisfied.

Do you know something about programming?,i guess no.

It´s a developer choice if they do an engine to play now or later with today´s hardware or not i have a 8800 gtx and i play it very well. Not 30 fps all the time but after playing crysis in very high all the games look like tetris.

It´s just a game, if you askme they want to sell the engine and that´s fine.if was a smart choice only time can tell that.

But you can´t say it´s crap because you can run on 60 fps.
