I think the issue with Vista is the codecs that it installs are not compatible. I installed it on mine and when I load it up I just get a black screen. I am assuming its trying to play some startup movie. I tried to find the startup movies and delete them but couldn't find the right ones. Oh well, from the sounds of it the game isn't worth the hassle.

even on xp it doesnt work perfect at startup, atleast for me anyway i can still see my desktop and its got loads of black scan lines going across it kinda like how commodore 64 loading screens used to be , i just hit escape a few times and i end up at the games main screen.

its not to bad a game but its not exactly fun either

Stop talking horseshit you clueless muppet. It worked perfectly on Vista x64 on my PC and so does everything else. Man I'm so sick of clueless idiots traveling on vista bashing bandwagon.

You assume wrong, codecs working fine under vista x64.

Is there no map while driving? Jamboree seemed fun, but with all that mist and rivers, straight line was a submarine line and had no idea if I should go left or right for a bridge. Not eve a distance to the next checkpoint is seen anywhere, they assume I have photographic memory of the race start screen map :/

Runs great here all maxed with AA+AF, driving just seems a bit too slow for my taste. Simulation mode brings a bit more fun, but it's quite the snooze fest Smile Want to drive just so much that I can tune that car a bit and but bigger tyres on, maybe then I can go faster Razz

Hey we weren't talking about any other programs but this particular game, learn to read, IDIOT.

But which programs exactly have compatibility issues do tell me, because I yet to find any major commercial or free program that doesn't. I can see you being angry with vista if 3d gay villa doesn't work.

Spectrasonics Atmosphere,Stylus Rmx,Trilogy/ Steinberg Cubase. There are many more high end appz that cost more then most PCs that dont work. These few are from top of my head. No sound/video studio will use Vista because appz dont work on it. But it doesnt really matter. People should use what they like.

From cubase website "Cubase 4.1 is also officially released for Windows Vista now."

From stylus rmx website "Stylus RMX is fully compatible with all current Mac OSX computers including Apples’ Intel Mac hardware, and also with all current Windows PCs including Vista."

Trilogy and Atmosphere are working on vista and vista x64 without issues as confirmed by users on various forums, even thou vista is not officially supported by those aps.

Now, those "many more" appz...

I use a dual boot for vista, where i mainly use XP still, i have had only one program that isn't supported and that's the drivers for my logitech internet explorer keyboard, although this is quite an old keyboard so i'm not blaming vista!

I have found alot of the games i have tried don't run aswell in vista though, i.e lower fps than xp, but as soon as it's as good as xp for games i will be using vista permanently
