|
 |
Ok so I've done some research and I'm thinking of getting a xbox360, mainly because of the games that are coming to it and that has come to it. So at the moment i am a bit short on money and i would like some tips about places where you can buy the xbox360 cheap, i live in Sweden.
I would gladly order from outside Sweden if it turns out to be much more cheaper. As well as i am planning to flash the Xbox360. I'm not looking for a very expensive one with a lot of stuff coming to it, i just want the basic one with 1-2 controls doesn't matter and a simple hard drive with 20-30 gig or whatever the "basic" gig is for the hard drives. Oh and by the way I'm a noob when it's about consoles etc:p
So i would really appreciate some tips on some sites where i can buy it cheap.
Thanks.

very cheap in USA, down to 2200 NOK for premium at some places (because of xmas would be my guess) Look for xmas sale in Sweden, that would be my advice.
Doesn't Sweden got something similar to prisguide.no? A place you can see where you get different stuff the cheapest.
http://www.prisguide.no/product.php?productId=38549 seems like 2399 NOK is the cheapest you can get a premium console here in Norway.

i've done the same, although i will keep the 360 for playing most games and anything i want for online will be brought orginal for PS3, this is what i've just done with COD4. Have Drakes Fortune and Singstar on Pre-ordr and my next online game to buy will be UT3 and Burnout Paradise which again are leading development games for PS3.

Well one of my friends might sell one to me for 1700 SEK so i'll try to convince him even more. By the way, how much does it cost to get your xbox360 moded if you buy everything yourself? A estimate would be nice if someone could provide that number for me.
thanks

no, you need the correct SATA chipset so your motherboard can talk to, and flash the dvd rom drive. you also need a dvd dl burner thats of a somewhat good standard. And some good quality verb disks.

You can usually get first party PS3 games online for about £30-35, or even from america because they're all region free. That to me is a perfectly acceptable price for a game.

Wonder if he'll be able to justify to himself paying those sorts of prices for games he's used to having for free.

Well for me if the game is good enough then yes easily, you just have to really like it to buy it for online play and COD4 for me certainly is, i admit their isn't that many Online games i would pay for but there is some and not forgetting the odd exclusive

You'd be better getting it on ebay. Just find a PCI SATA Controller that is suitable, they're about £10...!

According to some guides that i've read, my motherboard on my comp only need to be compatible with SATA plug in thingies, and my current hard drive is using sata plug ins, so i assume it will work with my current motherboard?

I have no problems because I rent all the games. If I like one enough and I still have to play through, then I decide to keep it which gamefly usually allows for 35-40 dollars, and they ship the box and manual free...so far this year I have only bought 2, resistance and Motorstorm, maybe another couple before the year goes!!!!

Just a dumb question, i've set in the big power thingy but its giving a orange light, does this mean its ok ?
the reason i'm asking this is because there is nothing saying about this in the manual that i got.
