After about 5 mins of the alien ship I was over it. Seriously wanted the game to end already but that part was drawn out too much.
After a few Alien encounters I wanted to fight the KPA again - they managed to make the same mistake twice and blow the 2nd half of the game like Farcry. | Aliens were absolutely awesome. Best alien design in gaming history. Period.
You just dont like scifi and thats all. I for that matter did not like combat against koreans. It was too chaotic etc.
EDIT: I mean aliens in the ship mostly.

I second that, i love the aliens and the way it was executed. It was an awesome experience, i was scared yet intrigued and it felt like I was really entering an alien craft.

I think the Scifi theme was ok-ish. Probably because you expected it this time. Those retarded mutant-apes in Far Cry just became too much I think. I hated them and hated how they ended that story, it totally ruined that game. While I'm very keen on the alien theme either, I expected it in Crysis from the begining which didn't make it as bad as Far Cry. However, if I got to choose I would rather have done without it.

Only $40 at bestbuy if you live in the states. I wasn't gonna buy but they lowered the price so I'll pay it even if it doesn't have the cool physics in DX9. Still...would love to see those patched back in, they never even said how much of a performance hit it was. I remember HL2 when it first came out, the physics in MP were slow and just delayed, but they fixed it up and now its fine, obviously crysis is much more, but still would like to see an effort instead of their microsoft vista whoring.

if i remember correctly, rundll32 is responsible for running .dll files, so it could be .dll files from the game that take up your cpu power

The interior of the alien ship made me think of the matrix for some reason then at the end when you look up from the aircraft carrier you can see swarms of the alien ships flying above (last matrix movie) I loved every bit of this game though.

part 2? easy... thats 2 years away, and about $3000 worth of hardware
i bet the last game of this 'trilogy' ends on a cliffhanger, so they can continue to milk the franchise via episodic format like those valve fuckers did with half life...

waiting for these episodic games from valve is like waiting for season 5 of The Sopranos (for those of you who missed that, there was a 2 year wait between season 4 and 5)

valve can kiss my ass, half life 2 episode 2 really disappointed me ( don't get me wrong, its good and its still HL) since they fucked around so much, baiting us and prolonging the story..

which is exactly why i hate the 'mliking-it' nature of episodic releases, and why every developer that uses it can go suck a fucking dick and go play in a fucking forest fire.
i miss the old days where someone came up with a great story, and told it through a wonderful use of the gaming medium...
now, the only reason stories in game even exist, is to create an on-going franchise... its sickening.. if you REALLY have a great story, then for shits sake, for a change, just tell it... i very much enjoyed hl2, but i flat out refuse to continue playing the story since they went episodic, and now i see crytek doing the same shit with crysis (stretching the story and watering it down, not going episodic... atleast not YET...), i wont be buying their crysis follow-ups... that cevat guy can go fuck a cactus, with his watered down prolonged franchise creating story, and his lying to gamers to push other companies merchandise.... im no longer a crytek fanboy.
crysis multiplayer still fucking rules though
if only it was more fucking stable... and didnt have that fucking korean announcer when you play on that team... grrr, i hope the main priority of the first patch is to replace that dude!!
tha waar faktorrey is unda salt!!

you have no fucking idea. i want that show to end NOW, just so i can see if they actually have a plot in mind
probably just a written note on a bit of cardboard that one of the writers holds up at the end of the final episode "uh.. yeah sorry guys... we bluffed, we dont actually have anything... hehe 'whoops'.. thanks for watching, buh-bye!!"
