its stored in the xlive folder i think.
C:\Users\Gebruiker\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive
i made a backup of that folder. When i had when my saves where gone. i overwrite the xlive folder with the backup and my saves where back.

any1 fixed the Crash Exit 2 Desktop problem?..the one without the gw4live error thingy....

I'm pretty sure it's the same one as I mentioned in my previous post. Just ignore the error window and re-maximize the now minimized GoW game. Got the solution from the OP.

tried add/remove programs? had the same shit trying to uninstall the unreal 3 demo... uninstaller was broken on that one.... add/remove worked for me. |

Delete program files folder, reg entries and download Microsoft Windows Installer cleanup utility, delete the gears of war entry and that'll fix it up  You should be able to re-install no problem then if desired

still crashs here...i've installed win xp sp2 patch, enable upnp services and i dont know more what to do...
any ideas?

oooo is that the .exe that's crashing you? if so then theres no way to fix it than update the game. MS is fucking every game over with that crash, it's horrible. If you get the send report or don't send report screen, it minimizes your game, just open the game window back up and keep playing. |

I didn't. I deleted the game. No sense in playing it if you have to beat the game in one sitting since it deletes saves.

Doesn't delete them here. The first thing I did after installing is update c++ and g4wl redistributables.

I think the hamchi fix fixes the save deletion issiue, well after applying it my saves have remained and it removes the GFWLive crap lol

Actually, changing the language is the easiest thing.
In lang.txt change the text to: 0c09, that did it for me. At own risk ofcourse.
\\edt: Hmm, seems that this started the crashes for me, guess I'll have to choose between reading a book or a Spanish version of GoW, yup, reading.

Leech the Razor release, thats in english, the spanish reloaded release actually has no other audio languages on the disc to change to, I know coz I tryed  Razor release works perfect in english though

guess it doesn't matter now lol, can't even install teh game, get the same .dll crash I did when trying to uninstall it. gunna try it with windows firewall on :\
