damn... it's fallout, but it's just not fallout!
I wish this game would have stayed with Black Isle. That video of an early version of the game was awesome. Should have been exactly like that.
But oh well, I accepted the fact that this is not a fallout game, it just shares the name.
I'm sure it'll be interesting enough even if it's not a real fallout game.

I mean they will probably make it for 360 and port it to PC and destroy the game totally. 
You never know though, i hope they won't do that. |
Well if not then they'll water it down for the console tards like they did with Bioshock |

Fallout was good because of the excellent writing --- So no matter what, this still won't be
anything like fallout 1 or 2.

True. I havn't played Oblivion, though I cant think of anything memorable from Morrowind. But the intro narration that was posted above sounds pretty good and Falloutish, plus its going to be narrated by Ron Perlman.
But yea, Bethesda has some pretty big shoes to step into in that area (well actually in every other area as well. Except for graphics I guess)

Well with it being user submitted don't forget people have this tendency to THINK their funny and will make their basement buddies giggle if they submit stupid shit. If the submissions were remotely considered though, then that'd be a problem.

Four new screens are out (these are scans from a magazine, so quality is pretty lame).
Gotta say that the brahmin and the environment look surprisingly good. Mutant on the other hand looks awful. I mean it looks good as a 3D model, but not as a Falloutish mutant...

Actually only Fallout 1 and 2 were developed as old school RPG style quests. Tactics and BOS (Xbox) were outside of the main plot and gameplay style which is why a lot of fans aren't considering them as true "Fallout". Fallout 3 is walking on the same road as tactics and BOS in terms of plot and gameplay changes which is why so many fans (including myself) aren't considering this as a true sequel.
In anyway, I did actually enjoy Tactics as a strategy game so I might still enjoy F3 as an action game...

Yea same here, but it seems they have removed most strategy in the game so i dont think it will be mutch more strategy elements than any other modern FPS :/

True, it' looking worse and worse. Mutants are still Orcs and country is looking more and more generic. Grey destroyed cities, brown wasteland, bluish vaults, where on earth did colours from Oblivion go?

If they wanted to create their own form of mutants they shouldn't have licensed the fallout universe - and Gears of Wars was criticised for it's gloomy graphics.
It's not the gloom I have a problem with it's the lack of focal points it just seems extremely messy. Someone with a better grasp of design (or whatever) might be able to put that into words which make sense but there's just something about it which isn't right.

And as has been mentioned time and time again, the company undertaking this task are the same company who've shown in their previous games that this isn't their strength
