Pffff, turns out my new DVD-burner needed a firmware upgrade to burn dual-layers properly.
Thanks Samsung, for bringing a burner on the market b4 it's software is stable enough to let it do what it says in the specifications. Cost me hours of frustration, not to mention I can use about 10 overpriced dual-layer discs as coasters now...

Jeez, you wasted 10 DVD9 discs until you figured out the burner was bad (or the firmware, whatever)?

I can't believe I overlooked this game on account of the demo! To me it just seemed like same-old-same-old but it's a really engaging game once you play it fully. Obviously it uses the same familiar mechanics from the previous games but it works - and I'd definitely recommend it for anyone wanting a strong singleplayer experience. Yes it's scripted and linear but it's an entertaining game nonetheless. Give it a try if you haven't - whether that's because you got bored of the Call of Duty/MoH type games or because the demo scared you off.
Multiplayer is apparently very good as well - but I'll be honest it didn't grab me.

You might want to use spoiler tags on that post.
As for your question:
Spoiler: | No, you have still got some missions to do. You get to the end when you start attacking a base in Azerbaycan or so |

It's not that unfair, I mean, some weapons are better, but if you get cover and shoot well, it's not that unbalanced.

I prefer the higher-damage, lower-range SMG weapons, with the P90 being an all time favorite as always (just love this weapon, regardless of the game). Sure you need to be closer, but the kill is guaranteed. For the largest map(s?), the heavy weapons do fine.

Yeah multi ftw, I just hate that stats aren't stored on master server but instead your computer. I reinstalled windows and stats file became corrupt, i guess that's the protection against sharing this file with others.

after complaint post after complaint post, a 30 page long thread in their own forums, and 3 weeks , fuking infinityward hasnt still official recognized that mp is crashing for lot of people. instead they prefer patching stupidly unnecessary crap, this is the biggest flop of a blockbuster game.

Easy there, I wouldnt go that far. Sure it sucks that they dont store it on some master server, but its only some unlocks - the gameplay itself is what I like. Although that said, I do hope they change the stat system so you dont have to worry about that file and make watching stats online easier.
Anyways, its by far the most fun mp game thus far for me (surpassing tf2).

I don't find it more fun than TF 2 but definitely deeper, although individual gameplay types do not feel as deep as a good round in TF 2. COD 4 MP as a whole is deeper but not as one gameplay type.

TF2 has the potential to be more fun, but the small amount of maps and game types gets repetitive. COD4 has more variations.

Yeah, but that doesn't make it less fun. It decreases the amount of maps you can have fun with. COD 4 has many different game types but not one is more fun than TF 2 CP or CTF, imo. That's why I said the set of gameplay types make it a deeper game but not an individual game mode.

u probably didnt read my post: LOTS of customers are posting in IW forums about MP constant crashes, yet they didn't even write an official statement about it. customers havn't bought half a game and are entitled to get a dam working multiplayer game. really someone need to flood threads with mp crashes so they cannot simply overlook it.

On the level where the door slowly opens with two guys with you near the next to last level. I think it's the part where you supposed to blow a hole in wall with c4 when told. Well I been EVERYWHERE in that damn level and never told crap, nothing happens just the time runs down and it restarts me. Anyone ideas the FAQ's I read but nothing starts the c4 event or whatever

Yes, you go into an empty, boring room and you set C4 on the wall ... Can't help you any more, I have uninstalled.
