Yes, yes, yes, and depends on your def of 'engaging', but I would say yeah it is for a game.

Core i7 920 @ 3.8Ghz | 6GB OCZ DDR3 8-8-8-24 @ 1600mhz | eVga x58 Mobo | 2 x eVga GTX 460 SLI | Intel X25-M + 3x Seagate + WD Black = 2.75TB | X-Fi Titanium | PCP&C Silencer 750 | G15 KB | G5 Mouse | G35 Headset | Z-5500 Digital | Samsung T260HD

Well, my def. of engaging is the story and storytelling in MGS games. I'm pretty sure this game is not on that level, but, at least somewhere above your average braindead plots found in recent games (Gears of War, Crysis, Halo3).

This guy is a traitor -> This guy is a traitor -> This guy is not really this guy -> This guy is a traitor -> This guy is your brother -> This guy is a traitor -> This guy is supposed to be dead for 2 parts now, but he is not -> Also a traitor -> Secretly your brother -> This guy is a traitor -> Ocelot somehow manages to live through all this AGAIN.

No, K&L is nowhere like that, they're more like ex-mercenary and psycho trying to make things at least a bit right, but not really succeeding at it.

All games are short now. No need for "daamn short game only 4 hrs" messages. Just accept it or play RPG and/or MMOG.

4hours??? All games are short now. I remember when fps could be played 20-25 hours before the end. It's impossible to find something to play this way.

i really like games to be shorter and the stories better, instead of dragging repetitive missions out to the 25 hour mark, just to give the people some value for money. It worked when FPS was only about killing the monsters and finding the exit. And i m happy it isnt anymore. Finding the blue key to open the blue door, so you could find the red key to open the red door so then you could disable a machine so you could open up a gate and get on an elevator, so you could kill some more monsters before having to hunt down another key, was getting kinda boring with the second installment of quake already...

Yeah well, but 4 hours is a bit shorter than the most...but like I said, I loved it, nice story, loved the characters.
Tho was a little angry at the beggining, didnt exactly love the first level, and it crashed during first level and locked up during the 2nd one, after that, smooth as butter.

In game FPS drops bellow 15FPS! I got a Q6600 @ 2.40Ghz, 2gig DDR2, 8800GTS 320MB and only playing at 1280x1024, Is this the cracks fault?

Nick

Edit: Think it could be something to do with Nvidia card not liking the smoke effect used in this game, steady 60FPS when no smoke occuring

you are a disgrace if only running the q6600 @ 2.4GHz. wake up man or get a better mobo, that is shite.

I havnt got around to buying a different heatsink yet Razz , Still running it on stock one, or can you overclock well on stock heatsink? Btw I posted a thread about this in pc games technical

Nick

I guess you could bump that up to at least 3Ghz with a stock heat sink, but get Core Temp and watch it carefully. Don't let it run any hotter than 60 MAX!!!!! 54-55 would be more what I would expect. If you got good case fans, that might help you marginally.

Wow this is retarded, can you really only play co-op with a Xbox 360 controller? I've got several gamepad's here, even a microsoft sidewinder, but they don't work :/
What's next? Crysis 2 requires a Razor Mouse? Call of Duty 26 only works on Intel hardware?
Geez, I thought hearing that you could only co-op with a gamepad was bad, but this is far worse, game crashes every 10 minutes too, the GoW fix(alt tabbing and ignoring the error) doesnt work since it just stops....

LOL...ok ok,the crashes only happened on vista for me along with those annoying save problems.
so I'm back on XP.Razz

But on a serious note,I don't have many games either that have crashed, other than GEOW,but that was only because I tried a trainer. Embarassed

The windshield is pretty durable though...I used the machine gun to break it.
