Could be it won't load cause I didn't "finalize" the disk since I wanted to burn the nfo and fixed crack too after I burnt the image I just realized.

How does one restore an MP profile after reinstalling the game? My friend had to reformat his PC and he can't use his profile that he RARed.

My raid crapped out on me the other day and I had to reinstall also, just start over from square one  |

Just bought it off Steam.
Downloads speed is not bad ~200KB/s, almost my maximum.
My steam id is "drorco" , would be nice to play with someone from the community.

Hum sorry bout the dumb question, but how do you get the key? they email it to you? or do you play trough steam?

Big mistake. If there are updates, they are usually late on steam, so you will have to sit out a couple of days multiplayer after each COD4 update if you're using the steam ver.

I don't think they are late on updates. At least, I don't think infinity ward is going to be late with the updates.

Infinity ward isn't responsible for the Steam updates, and offer no support concerning the updates or cd key issues for Steam. It is exclusively up to Steam to keep the game up to date. And usually, they fuck up. That's why you don't buy non-Valve multiplayer games on Steam.

Anybody knows if it is possible to MP COD4 on a cross-platform LAN (PC/PS3/XB360)? I thought I read something at an earlier stage 'bout Infinity Ward not willing to implement this option..

I didn't have any problems so far with third party games.

So far I haven't encountered any problems with steam updates.
Also, when I go to the mulitplayer options I can see my cd-key. (So it means I can also play in an independent version)

Call of Duty 4 Patch v1.1 out now. (2MB)
Infinity Ward just release the CoD4 Patch 1.1 which is an emergency patch to fix the problems with the rank being lost when switching from some ranked-to-unranked servers.
Installation:
# Download the file below
# Unzip all files into your main Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare™ folder, default is C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare, overwriting as necessary.

This game is beyond awesome. What sucks is only this and crysis are descent. out of 10s of games coming out, only descent ones are this and crysis. everything else is shit.

I 2nd that! X360 hook digitaly on my amp and i thought it will be a blast but yeah the gun sounds are weak
