Somewhat disappointed with AC as well, whilst the game looks awesome it just feels a bit "clumsy" i guess.
This game feels much more polished, and with a decent storyline unfolding they've really done themselves a great job.
I sparked some guy out in conversation last night, had me in stitches!!!
When you look at your character stats where you choose where to put your talent points etc, you have 2 bars on the left hand side, mine is filling on the renegade side, that means I'm turning into a bastard? also does this effect the way the script pans out? Awesome if it does.

From Wikipedia:
Quote: | According to BioWare founder Dr. Gregory P. Zeschuk, the game has two sequences in which the player makes critical choices that lead to several different endings. The choices themselves are based on the actions of the player up to that point. He states, "We kind of have a secret idea on the trilogy so I really can't answer that part of it but it all makes logical sense. The end itself has two sequences where you make choices and it's interesting because the choices that are available to you are dependent in some part on what you have done at that point. There's a few different endings and there's a few different subtle tweaks as well. It kind of involves a matrix of choices. |
so basically, depending how many renegade and paragon points you have you'll get different choices at those critical points in the game, affecting your ending.
man this game just rocks!
Bioware ftw!

You can only tell your teammates what to do by pressing and holding the right bumper.
it will open a circle menu where you can tell your squad what skills to use on what.
pressing and holding the left bumper will allow you to tell them what weapons to equip.
unfortunately, the more advanced tactical controls that were seen in the early videos, where the player paused the game and could fly around and tell each teammate where to go exactly seems to have been removed.
you can still use the Up button on the directional pad to tell both of your squadmates where to go, but not individually.

Aww
Like most of the harder engagements end with me killing most of the enemies and my silly teammates either standing behind some box without line of sight to the enemy or laying dead on the ground.
I'm incredibly amazed with the game, it's only this aspect that really annoys me, too bad they removed the switching of character and advanced tactics system

jesus what an ending, took 8hours for main story, i rushed through. gonna replay again at least twice, this time doing the side quests, i think will probably last around 16 hrs on sidequests.
absolutely exhilarating ending, fucking awesome story, im an old diehard adventurer and this game is fucking right up there in my top5.

How do you get new grenades once you've used all of them and pressing the back button doesn't throw anything anymore? I'm stuck in a section and really, really need some to complete the mission. Am I screwed?

hmm
I'll leave the freaky alien sex for my second playthrough.. where I'll play a female character and make it lesbian freaky alien sex :-)
or maybe not, but seriously... I love the romances in bioware games. they were absolutely awesome in baldur's gate 2 and they seem to be just as great here. there were some in KOTOR too if I remember correctly.
I dunno what it is that makes that so appealing. maybe it's just that it's so rare in videogames to see things like this, or maybe it's that it makes the characters so much more real.
It really makes you care about them a lot more, that's for sure.
Bioware rocks.. they're almost like the Blizzard of RPGs.
When they bring out a new RPG you can be sure it'll be great.
I hope they keep em coming, especially the sci-fi ones. I'd take KOTOR and mass effect over a neverwinter nights any day, but that's just because I'm into scifi stuff like that :-)

I didn't knew it was optional, but I like it.... It creates ambiance...
I need to see it turned off to make a final decision though |
It's only for the movies or in the game play also?

That must be a spelling error, theres no way in hell you beat it in 8 hours..
Im on planet ferras clocking at 10 hours already and I AM RUSHING THE GAME... im planning to play ME for like 2-3 times more.. thats why im saving the side-quests for a 2nd playthrough etc
There some sections in the game that takes hours to get by .. and this is from a someoen who rushes trough the game........
Like I said IM NOT doing any side quests at all and im on planet ferras: time 8 hours soon 9.
