I bought cod 4 and that was my best buy ever, now i tried out crysis (buying it too) and imo i must say i got a little disappointed at Crysis the only thing crysis beats cod4 in is the Graphics if using dx10, so, overall CoD4 beats crysis to a pulp in gameplay and the feeling in it's missions aswell.
If you'll try to be smarter, i'll try to be nicer!
It's better to take some time with your life, instead of taking your life because of some time!

COD4, crysis was about as fun as watching an elderly person take a shit and I don't much like falling asleep through my games.
COD had a lot of action granted I hate how linear the damn maps are (god forbid some might step a foot off the path) but given the action, you don't have time to get bored.
I may be a cryengine fan but the hell with the game it's demo'ing

cod4 for me, great atmosphere+gameplay. only thing annoying was the over the top respawn, darn you just kept shooting at the same spot for like 10 min. before you could proceed..
maybe ill vote for crysis later on if it has patched a little.

Cod 4 is excellent but compared to crysis its real shit imo, linear to the max, stupid ai sometimes, the game is way too short.

Crysis
Original CoD was new and fantastik
CoD2 - Great - but getting a little bored with the rails experience.
CoD4 - just CoD2 in new cloths - now i'm bored with the same old gameplay.

While Crysis looks great and all I have to go with CoD4. Basicly because I had more fun with CoD4. Granted Crysis have more open enviroument and the over all engine are very impressive, the gameplay are in my eyes somewhat lacking. People say CoD4 are a repeating feeling of all the other CoD games, I think Crysis basicly are a repating of Far Cry with a nifty suit. Not saying any of the game sucks, just the game I had more fun with are CoD4 and also HAVING more fun with playing multiplayer. I love to see what can be made of Crysis engine though, both modewise and what other gamemakers can do.

it's funny that CoD4 is voted more, and they can't even say why they didn't like / voted for Crysis. Every HUMAN on this earth knows Crysis is betetr than CoD4. People that voted CoD4 just like stupid AI, fugly GFX (what makes it run on their PC's) you guys just can't handle finding your own way to a point of interest like in Crysis. You can only run striaght ahead shoot some dumb ass AI / scripted enemies. And play the same scripted events time after time.
Only level that was cool in CoD4 ffs was the one after the credits nothing more nothing less. People that say GFX of CoD4 are better than the GFX of Crysis are just plain blind. At this moment there is nothing that can beat the Crysis (when you turn everything on) not even the UT3 engine.

its funny that youre so blind that u cant see ppl sayign the same thing over and over. CRYSIS IS ALL EYE CANDY AND A BORING GAME.

Crysis = Tech demo for the new engine. Ya so they slapped some semi decent story on it but that's all it has going for it. Just because YOUR blind and can't stand the simple fact their just might be some REAL gamers out there who judge a game by how it plays and now by how hyped it gets doesn't mean shit for this game. Yeah it's fun being open ended but given the huge level it gets boring and repetitive. Huge emphasis on boring, ya, walk around till you get to some AI's who are in fact not smart, dunno what games you've been playing, and that lasts a few minutes. Strip the game of it's gfx and tell me what it has.
Call of Duty 4 = yet another good story, on rails to hell but guess what, at least your not bored, at least you have something to do and have to be careful of being shot to hell instead of just cloaking yourself then jumping 30 feet in the air onto some roof then use super speed to get the hell out of the area pull out your sniper then use super shield to protect yourself then sit behind a rock and let your shield regen your health.

SpykeZ I recommend playing Crysis on the hardest setting. Its challenging and with the korean's actually speaking korean only you have no idea what the AI is gonna do. Half the time I though I had past a patrol only to turn around and find some korean almost staring in the face lol. Have to also take into concideration if you compare it to real world special forces they are never dropped in the thick of battle there usually dropped away from there objectives so they can proceed and scout etc....So with that being said they nailed it in this game.

CoD > Crysis in MP
My only beef with CoD is that the maps are to small and to narrow, to few paths to choose from. The maps are fine if you play maybe 5v5 or 6v6 but when you play 32 ppl they feel very small :/
I hope there will come some new maps soon!

Crysis eats hardware for breakfast. Its here to sale hardware. Hell people with sli setups can't even play it at decent frames. COD4 runs good on a many different configurations and looks and performs great. Only thing COD4 needs is a longer singleplayer campaign.

mmm, like I said a while ago, Cry Engine 2 (just like the first one) is prob the most amazing engine out there in terms of what it can do. Just imagine any real talent like what crytek is capable of working on that engine for their games, imagine RPG's, Racing, Sports even on that engine, it'd be astonishing and would push gaming into a whole new direction. The thing is, is keeping it up to date. I'm sure they push that engine as hard as they could which is why it took so long to work on. Not only does it look astonishing now, but in two years, the gfx will still be top class. Their just securing the future of the engine. I mean look how the "source" engine was. It looked great when it came out and people could run it on max, but after new hardware came out, people started to hate it's lack of looks. It's lasted about a year before it started to dullen out. Cry Engine 2 will have a lot longer life span, just like the UE3.
