Wow... thats about all I can say about this game.
Bioware said they were going for a true cinematic experience with this game and i think they really nailed it. I am especially impressed with the face animations and stuff in conversation. Blows Oblivion out of the water.
9.5/10 from me so far.
If their online game is anything close to this... wow.

its pretty much my perfect game, no more stupid ass turn based system from kotor, awesome graphics and immersive world to explore, its definitely pipped the other games to the post for my coveted GOTY award.

in the rarfix theres ptc-me.r58, ptc-me.r61 and ptc-me.sfv. Should I just replace the files of the same name in the game folder with these? (these 3 files aren't rar files, that's why I got kinda confused about what to do)

I like this game, but I don't know, I don't think it looks as good as I thought it'd look. Facial animations and such are top notch, but I don't feel like the environments are very well done. Granted I've only seen three so far.
But what the hell was up with movie-grain being on as default? That looked so shitty. |
I actually thought the movie grain was cool. Shrug.

I'm totally happy with this game, it's everything I expected it to be and more.
Great graphics, although they don't look as impressive anymore as they did a year ago.
Amazing voice acting... the dialogues are so well done, I love talking to people because they all have so many interesting things to tell you. The world is so believable, so well thought out.
Music is great of course and the story just gets better and better the more I play.
Assassin's Creed disappointed me a bit (still a very cool game though), but Mass Effect has lived up to the hype.

Why do you even bother complaining about the grainy effect when you can turn it off?

Okay. It's just that they don't have that icon rar files usually do, they have that other white icon.. plus it doesn't say .rar after the file name, but I'm guessing that doesn't matter

I love this game, played about 4 hours so far, it definately has that X-factor for me just like other cool games like: metal gear solid / deus ex / final fantasy VII / half life / etc had. I wonder how the rest of the game turns out and how long it will take.

Hmm, does anyone know how to change control to your squadmembers instead of the main character in combat? Or how to pause the game and give orders/tactics? Saw it in an old video but havent figured out how to do it ingame yet.

I'm curious too. The game definitely lacks a good tutorial/instructions. I'm still figuring new shit out all the time. Also, anyone figure out how to have sex in the game yet? I'm been flirting with everyone on the damn ship but not sure how to actually do it.

If you want to see what I mean look at the X06 Gameplay Video at http://masseffect.bioware.com/gallery/index.html. At around 3.40.

hehe yeah... I'm pretty sure I'm gonna replay the game with a female shepard doing different things. Like not bringing Wrex along, choosing different answers in conversations, playing a different class, etc
It's really awesome how people keep mentioning your background too.
Like I chose the sole survivor background, and people keep saying like... wow, shepard, I've heard about what you did on planet blabla (don't remember the name right now).
I wonder how many things change when you play a different character.

I didn't knew it was optional, but I like it.... It creates ambiance...
I need to see it turned off to make a final decision though
