If i run the game at very high settings with no AA, at 1680x1050, i cant get more than 25fps, maybe 35 if i look the ground.
Haven't checked other resolutions cause thats the native res for my 22" tft and if i go lower it just sucks.
Also i tried running both with xp x86 dx9 (very high settings) and vista x64 dx10 (very high settings) nothing changes at performance, graphics are the same, fps are the same.
Its strange that when i press the optimal auto config inside game, it puts all the settings at very high, but i cant really play with 25fps max... i guess very high settings are only intended for sli/crossfire systems.
ps r_displayinfo 1 still works.
ps2 people are talking about tweaking ingame settings etc, any guide or links around? |
K, one last time for the cheap seats. There isn't a PC available in the retail market that can run this game @ 60 FPS etc. Its been said over and over again. Far Cry was EXACTLY the same when it was released.
I wouldnt expect to play Crysis on Very high detail at playable levels until AT LEAST the next gen (Nvidia 9800 etc). For now, you'll just have to lower your res and/or detail settings and deal with it

COD4's strengh is purely its package, awesome Singleplayer combined with the most addictive multiplayer ever... Crysis' multiplayer is rather dull and non-inspiring. |
disagree on C0D4 SP still the same silly AI that focusing on the player , freindly AI is dull and dangerous, the sniper bit at the ferris wheel dont get me started me 450 kills my partner 2 kills or that fact that the ai bunched up 20 strong beside me and could not see through that uber railing 1 ft from them, the enviroment is stale and lacks interaction i mean helicopters slamming missles and gun fire in to wooden buldings that seem to be uber invincible, and still the get to X to stop spawning was old in MOH nevermind COD4.
Mp agreed Crysis is very dull , but also very very moddable through sandbox , COD4 on the other hand is not, and still think COD4 mp is good but then again there are lots of good MP fps out there ET QW i like better personaly.
Crysis the developers hyped ,COD4 and BIOSHOCK the reviewers hyped again all good games, but awesome is not how I would discribe any of them.

Then why does his system put it to very high as does mine? 60 FPS no, but maybe 30-35 would be nice...

either through games explorer by right clicking start as dx9 or you can add -DX9 you need to make a short cut in bin64 or bin32 whatever one u use of the crysis.exe file and then add to it -DX9

does the nanosuit in the game get a better powersource as the game advances ?
it was mentioned ages ago in previews that you could but i would like to know if its still in the game.
the nanosuit in the demo runs out of juice way too fast for my taste.

You don't need to edit out anything, the game even installs using the beta key. You can play on any server for the time being, even using the keygen serials

Only if you don't have a console. Though i'll agree that it's definitely better then Halo 3.

i have nvidia 7800gtx, will this driver work for me? and one more thing, when i search for latest nvidia drivers for my card on nvidia.com the 163.75 update comes up. Is that driver not the latest? Why is the driver you mentioned not coming up when i search for latest driver?

Why? What has console have to do with this? Played Halo 3 on xbox and its crap for me like it was halo 1 and 2, Gears of war is on rail shooter with no options to do anything except run in predefined route, and my impression on AC is based on reading on it from people who played it. Ill try it in few days but it is like i thought it will be. Simple action game with no depth. Is GOW 100 times bettar on console? Does it have open spaces and more options on what can you do? Didnt play it on x 360, only pc edition. |
You're comparing games that have only minor similarities, one doesn't necessarily have to be better then the other.
It looks like you have some soft of pathetic vendetta against consoles, if you're just another ignorant PC fanboi I can't be bothered getting drawn into a discussion.

You are completly off. If you bothered to read what was said then you would notice that talk was about how hyped games get 8 or above scores. I wasnt comparing games based on their genre, it was based on scores they got and did they deserve it. Next time read the whole part. I dont have anything about consoles but i do have against stupid people. Like i said in Mass Effect thread , i would buy x360 for that game. Only thing thats stoping me atm is high failure rate.
