Can anyone let me know if this burner allows you to burn 360 games? I would check myself but I'm only online using a phone and xbox-scene is blocked Neutral..

well it can burn DVD+R DL, so I'm pretty sure it can be used to burn 360 unless there is some other criteria I dont know about Smile

Yeah, not all burners can burn in the correct way. I can't remember off the top of my head which option it is, but basically it stops the 360 from seeing the disc as a burnt disc.

For example, I know my laptop DVD burner can burn the games, but they wont be recognised by the 360, were as my friends old pioneer 108 worked great. I was going to grab a p112 but as I don't have much net access and I needed a new drive to use my machine (old drive died) the LG was the only option!

works fine for me Smile
burned many games (with growisofs under linux) for 360s with both hitachi & samsung drives
only used verbatim though, so i can't vouch for other media combatibility...

actually, the technical thread is about problems with consoles/games. As sYn hasn't bought this drive yet, he doesn't have a technical problem to be answered Razz

*brings thread to life*

Since buying the drive I havent tried it yet.. but as AC has been released I think its about time I grabbed some discs and gave it a shot! So, two questions..

Has firmware changed much in the past few months? I had the drive with the least firmware updates in the past (I can't remember which drive now..)..

Also, where do people buy discs from in the UK? Looking to order some cheap discs! Very Happy

well first thing first try to update fw for your drive

if u want to cheap out on disks u will eventually get either dirty or unreadable disk errors, so i suggest to go for verbs only

Already sorted the firmware back when I bought it, and as for discs, by cheap, I meant cheaper than PC World, not cheap brands Razz!
