Can't get battle.lan working...Both computers are on DMZ so it's not a port issue. The instructions were not clear either, do both server and client need to be running the program? Just the server, just the client? Do you need to add your own ip to the list, or just the other persons?
Whoever has battle.lan working please clarify your program setup.

both computers have to be running it, you add the other person or persons IP to the list not your own. Besides that you just click start. and it should be working, for whatever reason it is no longer working for me.

This game is KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!! I am having so much fun! Berserker! That was totally kick-ASS!!! Alternate ways to take out the turrets!! Out flanking!! I sneaked up on a turret locust and chainsawed him from behind! Blood Everywhere!! This game needs a movie big time! Or to watch a movie when you aren't playing it.....take your pick, Predator, Aliens or Pitch Black?! What is it called the Hammer of God?! Unbelievable weapon when you are outside! Epic, Thank you for bringing this kick ass game to Vista!! I have been playing for 4 hours non-stop at 60-62FPS at 1680x1050 with no problems WHAT SO EVER. The realism of the graphics really adds to the chaos! By the time I am done playing Gears of War, Hellgate London will be completely patched making it the great game it will be!

Did you bought it or downloaded?,if downloaded,wich release?,can you change graphic stuff and able to get out of there without bein' frozen?..Can you create a profile to save?

ok finally tried it out... man the install took quite a while >_>.
the port is a bit unoptimized with a bit too much stuttering where it shouldn't be like small hallways and not in big firefights but nothing that breaks the game... it's just slightly annoying and happens a bit too often.. they should have worked a bit more on the frequent loading issues and when to implement loading times instead of every 5 minutes >_>.
anyways when it runs smoothly the game is very playable
i'm running it @1280x720 with everything on medium on a P4 3.2, 1.5gb and 7800GS.
although i've only had two session i didn't have problems exiting the game or resuming checkpoints... during my 2nd session i just went straight to profiles and chose my own and then continued the campaign. playing this on xp btw.
great game... but just like the 360 version the campaign is far too short and i won't be buying it for mp either.

No, I downloaded it but I may buy this if I can find the funds. I am using Razor's Proper release. The only problem I had was that it would run at 14FPS for some reason and it was really unplayable. I would reboot Vista and then go back into the game and then I would have 60-62FPS at all times. This hasn't happened in the last 4 sessions though. Probably a weird Vista thing. Cannot wait for SP1 for Vista, a lot of improvements! I am using the 8800GTS 640mb with 169.04 beta driver. I didn't have any problems with the profiles. I started the game up and right away it showed that my CrusaderNoMercy profile was logged in? Not sure how this happened. I bought Bioshock so that may be why or maybe playing Shadowrun? Not sure. I can change my graphics options and keyboard items and exit the game and come back in and they are the same.
The game has been a pure joy to play so far!

ok, forget about it battle.lan doesn't work. Apparrently when we got into the game the other person so my hamachi name not the name of my computer. The weird part we didn't try anything that time besides battle.lan :\

I haven't played it on PC. But I loved in on Xbox, this is how a co-op game should be made. I hope and pray more co-op games like this will come out.

thought I'd update you guys on the lan. Me and my buddy got it working sorta using hamachi. Theres a regfix I'll upload once we finally get it working but it does show the game in the lan list!

We gave up. So heres the reg file to see if someone else can come up with something. The problem just doesn't make sense. You can start connecting but it always fails so you'll never actually get into a game.

Make sure your both on same version hamachi (we used newest one available) and can ping each other.
Network Connections > top tab hit advanced > click advanced settings > in top list make hamachi first in the order.
disable any firewalls just in case
host a game and the person should be able to see your game.
We tried like 30 times to try and connect all which failed which confused us and ran out of ideas. So you can pick it up from there and exhaust your own ideas. Good luck

just battlelan or maybe an actual VPN but battlelan didn't work for us.

shit seems to happen randomly. just make sure you keep a copy of your saves, they disappear randomly especially in chapter 2

hm i guess i'm lucky then... i'm playing for some days now, not a single crash, glitch or whatever.
But to say the true , i don't feel like liking it to much... So far at act 3, all is repeating and boring, i even don't go for covers any more... Maybe the only interestingly done thing is the cover& blindfire system, but it definitely slows down the action..
Basically i love dark atmosphere in games... but here they could do a bit less of dark and gray...
Oh, and i just could not shake of the feeling that this is like a.... um, a MOD for UT3 The models look like just in UT 3 (with the bulky armor style) and the weapons feel kinda
i'm not saying that's a bad game, but it's nothing spectacular to me..
