I've gotta play it in Japanese as the US version doesn't work on my Jap Wii ..... I expect I'm not missing much of a story tho am I , it's just the usual Princess is taken by Bowser bullshit story isn't it ???
Are there any special buttons that are any good in the tutoiral that I should know about ??

No, the NTSC savegame doesn`t work on the PAL release..
I`m sticking with the NTSC release..

I waited for the PAL release for my PAL wii. So I got it yesterday and I just burned it like any other game. Put it in my Wii and did the update. Wii recognizes game, but when I try to load it it says "Error: unauthorized device detected"
What should I do to make this game work?

no.
but there is a new yaosm beta build out.
supports all it did before + smg.
I had to open my wii again, solder out the chip, build me a cheap programmer, flash the chip, put it back in... but its totally worth it. smg is by far the best game released for the wii !
if you can wait a week or so you will be able to update via dvd the next time its needed - if its needed... bell (the guy who did yaosm) said he will implement a dvd upgrade for fixes like the smg in the final build.
