Teebor, stop insulting people if you want to get helped. There's a bug in the game that causes some keyboards/mice not to respond. It has been reported in the main thread.
What a joke this game has become. Mine works great and all, but god damn, Epic Ubied this title to the infinity! BTW "ubi" in Bulgarian means "killed"

win xp x86 ,intel C2D e6300 @ 1.86ghz,7300gt 128mb,2gb ram
for two days i have been trying to find a way to fix the crashing randomly problem...any idea's for intel user cuz i'm desprate now...

turn off audio effects WTF you must be kidding , whats next turn off sound , buy 4 gig more get 3 gfx more to have quadro Sli and hope that a lame port will work geez

I still think the stuttering is because of crappy porting of the streaming shit. I felt stuttering only when moving from place to place.
I had a look at the levels in the editor. Take the first level for example (prison+shootouts till helicopter). It's like divided into 6 segments lmao, with the first being the room Marcus is found in.  Epic, this is not a crappy console with 512MB ram! Give us big levels that load instantly instead of that streaming crap you can't make work.

lol no doubt dude. I disabled it and sound still sounds as good and stuttering has pretty much stopped |

You know why this is happening? Because there's no EAX support and everything is done in the CPU (probably in an unoptimized way on top of that). Why no EAX support? Because it's a G4WL game and it has to support Vista's crappy sound manager.

lol vista's shit sound manager was the only real reason I stopped using it. it wouldn't even let me use my creative sound manager instead so all my games and music sounded like pure shit. |

think it depends on what you wanna do. As of now the melee period is a bit broken. It works when it wants to really. Crouching only works when your up against a wall. |

make sure you back up your saves regulary, their in the install folder. The game likes to delete them randomly

Some people fixed the crashing issue by disabling "Live!" however as that function is disabled the game won't save your progress or even settings so I guess it's just a temporary fix until the problem is completely solved, whatever is causing it.
(Might help to adjust the settings first before doing this, perhaps updating to the latest Live! runtime might also help - linked to it further up and maybe a firewall or other means to block the connection might cause similar crashes if Live! can't connect to the servers.)

I'm getting a "Gears of war has stopped working" crash message whenever i try to run the game. Not sure if it's crack related. I'm on Vista. It's pretty frustrating, I can't even get into the damn game.
Anyone else having this problem?
