ya but reguardless how good your PC is it'll still stutter.
I've been watching their forums and their acting just like UBIsoft. Game was shipped unfinished and obvious USERS have to help each other hardly any support from the devs or tech support. Threads being locked and deleted and users banned for being pissed off about a shitty product. Epic is now at the bottom of the barrell. Had planned on buying it but fuck them. I'm not that desperate. |

No stuttering here with Razor release.
Notebook, Core2duo t7200,2gb ram, 7600 go (256MB DDR2)
Everything on medium, running fine. Sometimes theres textureloading, but this'll fixed with a new driver.. well I'm almost certain, cause it was the same with Stranglehold, which kept stuttering until Nvidia released the new drivers.
I disabled my Internetconnection. This helped @ DIRT, maybe it's the reason why I have no stuttering, except that textureloadings..

I am running it at 1920x1200 with everything maxed to the titties and no stutters here. Looks even crisper on my system then the x-box 360

from the replies in here it looks like it's a shitty port.. COD4 runs great on my p4 3.2ghz, 2gb and 7800GS but now i'm in doubt whether or not the download is worth it for the uncertainty and the already crappy single player(regardless if they added extra missions or not).
still gonna try it out though.

Why do people keep saying it is a shitty port?
Last time I checked this game runs great and looks great, controls are better then on the 360. Some of you guys complain way to much and are picky as hell.
Port or not, the game is solid.

Sorry but hasn't anyone discovered away to make COOP work? This is lame - no point in playing if we can't play the COOP.. I was sure by now someone would of gotten it to work. I heard that battle lan works, but I tried and unless I am doing something wrong it doesn't appear to work either.

Running Vista X64 I just tried it with 2GB of RAM no stutter at all, 4GB RAM still no stutter.. Make sure you got all the Vista patches that are out for better memory management and what not. Again no stutter full settings, the only thing I do not do is run my resolution at the highest, I run it at 1280 by 1024...
People were satisfied with Lost Planet, which was an awful port, and an obvious one at that.. At least here I can navigate the menus with my mouse, and they did add options to the game, unlike some ports. The game has a totally different feel then the Xbox 360 version did. Its a great port, and if I remember right this game started out on the PC before is a game to show off the UE3 engine. The monsters came straight from that tech demo before gears of war was even heard of.

you can play coop you just have to do it on the lan.

1) Theres no way to lan co-op unless it's done in house as I've explained on the last page
2) Lost planet was NOT a shit port. IT ran fine on the systems it was meant to be played on and didn't have lousy controls (minus the mouse, dunno if that got fixed) |

It was a shitty port, it was awful... That's been said a million times..
There will be a way to play LAN someone will get it to work... sometime or another.

well i installed it, loaded it up, set everything to high (not ultra high or whatever) and it runs great for me, a few stutters during cut scenes, nothing real bad. surprising because cod4 runs like shit for me and gow runs great.

The thing that kills this as a port is Live.
Lost Planet was an excellent port though, come to think of it. (Got a copy free with a friends video card, he called it theft; I called it commission[for ordering his pc])

Does the chainsaw on the gun NOT work for anyone or is it just me???
It works if Im just running around pressing the button, but if I want to USE it on an enemy.... there is no action.

Pretty sure you have to hold down the melee key and click and hold your primary attack button (mouse button) when close to an enemy to saw them up.

it's very picky. Theres a glitch where it doesn't work. Read it on the forums. Sometimes you can jsut hit the melee button, sometimes you have to hit melee button then fire button to rev it up, sometimes he doesn't do jack shit. |
