Found a solution. Changed the Program Files folder in the registry to point to D:\Program Files and lets hope this POS finally installs.

Jeez, how much crap do I have to eat before it works...

could you be more specific plz and tell us where the registy key is located to change? Idea

Found a much better solution. What I did is create a junction point to "D:\Gears of War" inside "C:\Prog...\Microsoft Games\," so it now appears as if it's a directory.

Just right-click-drag the folder in the other drive to c:\pro...\microshit games and select "create link here."

You still need the free space of 12GB though for the stupid setup to allow you to proceed. Rolling Eyes

Jouw mean 12GB on C Confused

Some guy on a dutch forum says that there is no problem with changing disks in the installer. You have to change the disk as soon the selection popsup. If you press next first then it goes wrong. Haven't tested it myself Wink

Very nice port, good gfx and solid gameplay, and its also a lot easier with mouse (i have this on my 360).

Finally Gears of War for PC, now it can be played how it's meant to be played, with a mouse!
How anyone can enjoy playing an FPS with a gamepad, it's a mystery to me.

I noticed that alot of the game files resemble the 360 version.... I think I have already found a few values that you could hacked so I wonder how soon it will be before we start seeing updates flowing out...

Your card should be fine. I would have to say that it is more then likely a driver issue, either video or sound. Possibly Chipset driver as well but that is less likely.

Here we go... Clone works fine with Razor release, but for me wargame-g4wlive.exe crashes all the time after 10-15 sec. When I use Razor crack it still crashes all the time but as long as I don't click 'Close' button in "wargame-g4wlive.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" dialog game alt-tabs back by itself in a couple of seconds Very Happy

It could be an install shield issue. Try renaming your install shield folder.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Install Shield\

If you rename install shield a new folder will be created -- sometimes solves weird installer issues. I haven't had a chance to install this game yet so if it doesn't even use install shield, save the flames for someone else. Just trying to help.
