Twice with each hand.. (I have a wooden table... Wink )

I think it's time to take it out and replace the TIM and clean it up.. but I could make a mistake.. and the card could die.. and I'd be stuck with either an old pre-2010 Radeon or Geforce I have somewhere. Gah.

Well, this may mean that if the COVID19 crisis will be resolved, the GPU market will be almost back to normal....

Quote:
Of course, it's now clear that GPU pricing is directly linked to mining profitability. It’s not related to supply, it’s not related to the pandemic, or anything like -- GPUs are being priced in line with how much money you can make mining on them. That’s the guide that AIBs and distributors are using when they set pricing, and prices clearly change in step with changes to mining profitability.

I wouldn't touch an Intel GPU-based card unless it's very cheap, has at least twice the performance of my OC'd 1060 6GB and have been tested, reviewed and comes with very stable drivers and does everything Intel says it will do (real time raytracing, upscaling like DLSS/FidelityFX etc.)

Man, I do hope that in around 4-7 years when I will get new PC the GPU prices won't be at the same crisis level they are right now.

Nothing impressive about it, people have been doing this same mod for ages to their GPU´s, a.k.a removing the stock shroud and putting 2x 120mm fans to the heatsink ghetto way, noctua and asus just made this as product, they basically just made new shroud and called it Laughing They didnt even design new heatsink Laughing

Btw not gonna take long until we can 3D print it Laughing

Its like +100% MSRP in here Finland Laughing...Prices starts to be so much that i would never pay that kind of amount for 10GB 3080 for example what it sells now, its fucking insane, they are like 1500-1600 euros in finland, then low end shit like 3060s are 700-800€ , absolutely ridiculous. Not sure but i have myself forgot totally the "wow" feeling what high end GPU gives you graphics and performance wise, these days its just "wow runs still bad and looks like shit", gaming is almost completely dead to me which is sad.

Indeed.

Most of the latest games (if not all?) are either boring or released way too early due to corporate greed.

Old GPUs will soon start to die and the replacement will be a painful project. The prices are crazy from day to day with zero hope of returning back to 'normal'.

I can't remeber as drepressing moment in PC gaming as this one.

I'm glad I bought my last Nvidia card at stock price and it's still going great at the resolution I play. I hope AMD seizes the opportunity to conquer the GPU market and fuck Nvidia, which by the way I've been loyal to for nearly 2 decades.
